If this forward group is as good was we expected them to be, they should be able to tread water at least without Eichel. The goal should be to get to .500 by the time he returns.

Whether or not they can do that or not, depends on this defense corps. That hasn't changed.

Due to O'Reily's injury, they are limiting the amount of faceoffs he will be taking tonight, and he might not take any.

Due to that, you need someone like Sam or Zemgus on the wing who can also take the faceoffs.

The choice between those two is easy, which is why Sam is on the top line.

I would have done the exact same thing under the circumstances.

The fact that the Sabres have zero cups has nothing to do with the fans opinions on how teams are built. The Chicago fans didn't build that team either.

The less I care the less my blood pressure rises...

It sucks but it really doesn't ruin my life.
Not saying it ruins anyone's life on here but it does seem (online) that people are letting it get a bit out of hand. But I do understand it, I do.
