Yes. I'm working on my Hall for Clutterbuck proposal.

Disagree with Comeau not helping with the possession game. He is suppression shots against the Avs, since he is good defensively

Avs top possession players 5v5 were
MacKinnon at 46.36 cf% next was comeau at 46.15.

So I don't know where you are getting your info about comeau being bad for the avs possession issues

Maybe it's the games I saw, but what I saw was a player whose corsi numbers were less than his career averages and he was allowed to play on the second and first line more than he should have which allowed a higher number of shots than he normally would take and his block numbers where up due to the time on ice which also contribute to higher than normal corsi for a typical 3rd or 4th liner which is what he might play on a better team.

Perhaps Ben Smith is not the answer, but all I am saying is that I have seen enough of Comeau that I would be willing to look at someone else for a solution. If the team keeps him in a 3rd or 4th line role maybe he makes better sense, but at $2.4 M per season he is an expensive 3rd or 4th liner and I would rather invest that money in better d-men and look for cheaper, younger solutions on a team already loaded with left shots and LW/C types.

Its pretty simple, ben smith stinks and is a fringe NHL player, Comeau is a respectable NHL player. Comeau cap hit is fine since he brings value. Mitchell as well at 1.8m. McLeod at 1.3m as a healthy scratch is a bigger issue.

If they want to get rid of anyone its McLeod and his dead cap space and nto bringing any on ice value

Did you all see bad injury for Wojtek Wolski? Broke cervical vertebrae, did damage to his spinal cord and a concussion. Bad hit into the wall and some perhaps questionable medical response right afterwards. All in the KHL.

Mikko being sent down for a few games. Makes sense. But I'm still a little weirded out with the lines. I would have thought he'd keep the chemistry of Soderberg and Landy together and played Dutch with Mack

Intially thats what I thought too but Soderberg Dutch Grigo played together during the last game vs the Kings and played well together.

Landy MacK work together so well so I am cool with letting that Top 6 go for opening night.
