Go wild. Get Matt Read orange in the front and 50th anniversary gold in the back. #delcomulletstyle

You know, when they first introduced those sweaters, I thought they really looked good. Last night though, I thought they looked like crap on the ice.

On the PP, the Flyers had a really nice passing play for a goal early, then they spent the rest of the game on the PP trying to make more fancy plays. They needed to get the puck to the net and crash the the net more. Gostisbehere is really struggling in all aspect right now.

1-7 on PP
Ducks go 1-2
We still get outshot
Just horrible they lack more than bite

- 3flyerkids

7 power plays only generating 20 shots on goal is laughable.
Hilarious the Ducks lost every game on their road trip, yet walk into Philly and win.
Perry and Getzlaf looked like they were playing against pee-wees.

I have not been impressed with Ghost so far. He had a good scoring chance early that rang off the post. PP was very frustrating at the game last night. Really wish Giroux would put it on net more rather than looking for that perfect passing play. The Simmonds goal he set it up nicely but sometimes he needs to rip it on net.

Teams are certainly making a concerted effort to take away his one timer from the point. He needs to adjust or he is useless.

Provorov made so many nice plays...unfortunately diving to break up that pass was not one of them

He has always been good at finding a lane to get the shot through. I think he will turn it around.

Last night I wanted Schenn to be more involved on the PP

I'd make some changes on the pp units, I'd try:

Konecny
Coots
Jake
Simmonds
Ghost

Giroux
Schenn
Streit
Weise*
Provorov

*I'd get Simmer off the PK and double shift him on the pp. Weise would only come on for the last 15-20 seconds or so. No one else on this team can do what Simmer does on the pp. In the past guys like MacLeish, Kerr and Leclair routinely double shifted on the pp, there is no reason Simmonds can't do the same.

It's funny with Provorov, he does so many little things with ease (and go unnoticed by many fans), but his mistakes are huge.

He's used to getting away with a lot of those plays in juniors. You can already see some of the corrections he'said made.

Flyers are the shortest team in the NHL so yes, in a way the pee wee assessment is a matter of fact.

When they showed those five players in suits on the bench, I was pretty sure a deflating loss was coming. Laughton would likely be in the AHL if fit, but MDZ-Gudas and Raffl & Lyubimov would have been nice to have last night.

I am almost afraid to watch when the mighty Canes come to town next.

Another season, another issue with not coming out in the first period ready to play. It's beyond old. I understand it's only 4 games, but this team looks like complete poop.

I hope so, but I think that this is the same old flyers poor start. We won't start winning games consistently until we're 1 8 and 1. Really frustrating but not surprising.

I have to admit " the not coming out in the first" is very frank(ing) frustrating. I don't get it. They "should" be able to beat Canes " if" they can finally get together a complete game. Who knows with this team

I didn't mind the jerseys but they couldn't have debuted them against a worst opponent in terms have comparison to the eye. Looked like an inter squad game with the Ducks.

It really is frustrating that they are seemingly not ready to go when the puck is dropped. Not sure what the deal is.

Also, I hate the system they use on the PK. They should be more aggressive like 95% of the rest of the league.

Last thing, I get physically ill watching VDV "play".

At the game last night I was eavesdropping on person next to me and he had some affiliation with flyers organization. He brought up LA Kings wanting a goalie of ours and went further and said we were asking for Toffoli. I laughed at the idea thinking neither one of our guys could get him back alone. I wanted to chime in the convo but held my tongue. Also, Bryz was sitting in same section as me with his family. Nice guy, but his son was wearing Ducks gear

Interestingly, Ottawa lead the NHL last season with 17 shorthanded goals but ranked 29th in the penalty kill.

Wow! Flyers get booed off the ice in the second period. But really not surprising at least no bracelets found their way to the ice. Seems like the natives are getting restless in flyer country. Time to lean on your never ending prospect pool.
