Hard not to question some of the signings in the offseason when you dont notice any of those players on the ice all game.
When Matt Read is your best forward so far, the defense stinks and the goalies are average to below average, I guess you're lucky to have 1 win. |

And yet they were in position to win all four, considering they were tied in the 3rd period each of the last three games.
BTW, Weise (apart from being one of forwards caught up ice on the Perry goal) had some good shifts tonight. Played a physical game, drew a penalty on Getzlaf.

I honestly have to agree that not everything has been terrible. The rookies look like rookies, G has a few points already, Read for whatever reason looks at least acceptable if not good. It's game three and we didn't get blown out
That being said, the PP has got to be better. Something has to change. The defense is pretty much the same as last year. Some nights will be really solid, some will be pretty hard to watch. We don't have a #1 or even a real #2 yet. Our one legitimate top 4 guy is out as well as an effective top 6 defenseman not matter what his reputation may be. Schenn is going to need a few more games to settle in and Raffl was playing well before he went down.
Not an ideal start but that seems to be a trend around the league this year for a lot of teams. |

Has the sky fallen yet? - PhillySportsGuy
It fell 15 years ago. We've just been so consumed by the terribleness of everything else we didn't notice. |

So 4 games in and a depressed, fat guy gif shows up? Good work fans! I feel like this is the overflow from Sunday's bender, Go Flyers! |

At the very least, change up the D pairs. Provorov needs a partner who is steadier defensively. I'd try:
Provorov-Schultz
Manning-Ghost
AMac-Streit
And, when Gudas returns:
Provorov-Schultz
Ghost-Gudas
Manning-Streit |

I've been debating if I should buy the 50th anniversary Matt Read jersey or the home orange jersey. |

I like this. I was thinking the same thing for Provorov. A more "defensive" partner would have been much better IMO

Agree with this. Need to change up something because the defense has been atrocious so far and I don't just mean the defenseman. There were multiple times last night and against Chicago where I was wondering WTH our forwards were doing defensively. |

I could be wrong but it seems to me that the Flyers are maybe a little less physical in games compared to the LA game. Getting in on the fore-check. Winning board battles.
Just seems they lack a little bite in there game right now. |

The gaps between the forwards and defense seems to be way to big |

Go wild. Get Matt Read orange in the front and 50th anniversary gold in the back. #delcomulletstyle |

1-7 on PP
Ducks go 1-2
We still get outshot
Just horrible they lack more than bite
