After 3 games Couturier was 34% on faceoffs and didn't look so hot last night. Only 4 games but something to keep an eye on. |

Do you think they'll keep MacDonald in to get the minimum amount of games played to be eligible for the expansion draft? - Streit2ThePoint
That's Mandog's job to get those games in. |

I don't know if I agree or not. On album, they're both very bland.
GD are considered one of the best live bands of all time. Creed had a class action lawsuit brought against them for a live performance. |

Agree on the Ghost assessment and the sweaters although I always hated them. In response to Read yes he is playing well this is the Matt Read that they had in mind when they extended him. He's had flurries of play like this before even in his recent down seasons so it will be interesting to see if he can keep up this play. Once Raffl gets back Id throw him on the 3rd line centered by Cousins and Read. Weise deserves the 4th line right now I'm not seeing great hustle from him. - Just5
I disagree that Read has flurries like this in his recent down seasons. He completely lacked any speed or explosiveness in his skating. He looks completely different than he has in the past two years. I agree it's too early to say he's all the way back, but he looks like the Read of old. |

At this point, I would not advocate switching lines or defense pairings around. I don't think that's the issue right now. I think they just need to get their act together both in correcting individual errors, and getting more in sync systems wise in team play. That's where I think the issue is. Other than one change here or there, such as playing Lyubimov, I think they should focus on other issues. |

My wife surprised me with tickets to last nights game. Awesome gift. Shame the Flyers looked sloppy again.
Provy has had a really tough start, but he will get it figured out.
A few thing I noticed last night... Flyers are not a very aggressive team. I cant tell you how many times I noticed a guy turning away from a hit. On the Ducks second goal, Holzer receives a pass behind his own net and turns with the puck. Couts is coming in with steam and could have creamed him. Instead he literally stops skating and doesnt throw a hit. By the time he "engages" Holzer, Holzer has already moved the puck by Couts and starts the rush. All three forwards were in deep and got caught on the play, which really made it a 4v2. Getzlaf made a great play by dropping the puck and forcing Provy back, but it could have been completely snuffed out if Couts goes for the hit immediately as opposed to slowing down and not making contact.
That stuff drives me nuts.
Also, I said it last year and people called me crazy, but something needs to change on the PP with Ghost. He had initial success at the left point, but it is not the same, and hasnt been since about March of last year...
Speaking of Ghost. What the heck is going on with him? Really rough start to the year, carrying over from a tough finish.

Nope, for 2 reasons
1. Manning will fill that need
2. Vegas would never take AMac |

Your team looks fast like V Canuck fast but I wonder how they'd look if Mcdonogh and whoever else is next best Staal maybe went down. We are down our top pairing and are behind by 1 point. You've had 3 home games too slow your roll bub |

I still think they need to rearrange the bottom 6 a bit.
If I were Hak:
Schenn-G-Simmer
TK-Couts-Voracek
Read-Cousins-Weise
Bellemare-Gordon-Luby
For the love of god, enough of the VDV. When Laughton and Raffl get back, I find a way to get them both back in the lineup as well..
Aside from that, I totally agree with you. They need to sharpen up a bit. Hone in on their mistakes and improve there. That is the major issue. Passes are off. Guys are getting caught behind the play. |

Jake is sometimes given an alley to the net and he needs to create by taking it sometimes, he's shown he can do it in the preseason throw a freaking curveball sometimes and do something the other team hasn't seen 50X on film
