I was there and saw it live and it didnt look all that bad. Hell it was the Flyers check of the game, and while there was contact to the head, I didnt think he threw his elbow up, leave his feet, or lunge. Who knows with the NHL

I only saw one replay, and there was definitely contact to the head. I'd have to see it again, to see if it was principal. If it was, it doesn't matter if his elbow wasn't up, or that he didn't lunge or leave his feet.

Thanks for posting that gif — definitely not an elbow - looks like a clean hit TBH apart from leaping into it. Unfortunate that Holzer is leaning forward putting his face in the wheelhouse of the hit. Depending on Weise's history I don't think it warrants anything but a warning (for jumping into the hit).

There are certain teams that drag down my excitement to watch the flyers play. Outside of when Getzlaf and Perry are on the ice, the ducks are one. They've dropped off in talent and sexy names over the years. The Canes are a different story. Bored to tears when the Canes play anyone. No more Brind'Amour, Staal is past his prime. The Devils regardless of status has always played a boring brand of hockey. The trap is guanteed to lose me a little.

Fans voicing disapproval. I am all for it. Play better and it won't happen. Maybe they could be kinder fans like Rangers fans. They never boo and are just a treat to interact with.

Flyers will be in the mex for the playoffs. Probably will make it. Overall game has a lot layers left to improve upon. Especially when MDZ comes back. That dude is the best!

Dating back to last year, Voracek has one goal in his last 19 games, and if you include the playoffs Giroux is now without a goal in 16 games. WTF is going on with these guys??

I am concerned about overall team defense tho. 16 goals against in 4 games is not acceptable.

I am also mildly concerned about the 3rd periods. Tied at some point in each one and found a way to lose. Not good.

Its crazy how frustrating it can be.

Voracek and G both need to do better defensively. I am not worried about the offense either. Its their positioning that has me down on them a bit.

Not to continue beating on the CVDV drum(bum bum bumm bum), but the dude has the worst advanced stats on the team, the fewest minutes (for all who have played all four games) has zero points, 4 shots (3 of which came in the game against CHI) and is a -2. It is grating to me that he is on this team.

Yes, they are two of the Flyers best defensemen so it hurts. But one of their replacements Brandon Manning has arguably been the Flyers best dman.
