I don't think many teams are offering up high prospects for someone who can't seem to fit in.

I think it will be a trade of one distraction for another.

I think it would do him some good if it wasn't preannounced that it would be for only 2 games. Knowing he's there for a weekend, he will hardly be invested or interested, just using it for cardio.

I would like to see him get more confidence with the puck. That Dzingle kid from OTT just scored a beauty, very confident skating with the puck. JV probably is just as fast but wouldn't dare try to slash through the D like that

He will have several 20+ goal seasons and possible 1 or 2 30+. I value JV more than Kane. I would hate to trade him at this point.

I'm fine with keeping JV and letting him marinate; but the prospect of having Trouba is really tantalizing... Winnipeg is a HUGE stretch from Vancity in QOL.

I see what you're saying though; they have an exciting team in WINN.. why a guy would want to leave is beyond me. Laine alone is worth sticking around for.
