Edler is terrible. He is soft in the corners, he can't shoot and he can't pass within 6 feet of the intended player.

On the other hand Stecher is amazing and is constantly making great plays.

Splitting the Sedins on the PP should be given a try.

Personally i'm a believer in 2 shooters on the back end. Forces the opposition to guard the points more, if not then they can collapse and cut off the down low passing lanes.

Having Eriksson another down low player on the same unit as the PP as the Sedins is also wasteful.

He made a beautiful cross ice pass to Sven but Bae shot it right into the logo of the goalie.

Confident passes have a way of sparking people. He leads by example.. so many of our guys make terrible passes in the skates.

Its not NHL 95 by ea sports, you have to make hockey trades. Hansen for a 3rd is reasonable. for a second is wishful thinking. Tanev should have 1st round type return. I totally agree with getting value, but a good hockey trade is getting the best value at the time when you can get it. An off season Hansen move would have been ideal, for example. On or before the TDL is good. Waiting until next year is fine if the market isn't there. But they should be sellers and really aggressive. Toronto has done this exceedingly well the past few years. If we retain some salary, maybe there is a market for Sbisa. He's looked quite good this year.

Is he worth a 2nd? Debatable, I'd say he was. But you take the 3rd because you're rebuilding and that's your best offer. Hanging onto assets until they devalue is something Canucks have become a little too good at for my liking. Playing the waiting game is how you end up watching other guys take the girl to the prom and other teams win the cup IMO.
