Really hope JV spends the season in Utica unless he really starts to light it up. No point to bring him back and put the pressure on him when this team is finishing in the bottom 5 of the league anyway.

I don't see why they need to set any sort of a timeline whether that is 2 games or a season.

Play him Utica for a while, bring him up if he looks good, send him back if he needs more time and on and on.

This is the development path of most NHLers.

The more I hear about Patrick the more it sounds like he is an overall good player but doesn't do anything exceptionally well ...just a solid player ...might not be a game changer ...no guarantee he goes first overall

He sounds better then the rest. Great 1-2 punch with Bo for the future.

Last I heard, he'd be out till at least December. I imagine we'll get some idea of where he's at once the team gets home and we see whether or not he's skating with them or at least before practice?

Wasn't Calgary's ownership/management accused of being delusional about their team's future regarding holding onto Kiprusof & Iginla too long before they traded Iggy at the age of 35?

How old are the Sedin's now?

Thank you.

So after the all-star break Van should be healthy and making their push into the playoff.

Yes but the best players he was playing with was 30 year old cammeleri. Tanguay and stepniak. No good young players were coming up.

Van has a good young core.

I think he is staying in New your because it is a 3 hr car ride to Buffalo , for their scouts to take a look at him. Why else do you tell someone they are going for two games only.

I think tbe differences are that the twins are harder to deal than kipper iggy would have been ...and flames management actually thought they could sneak in and win a cup ...Canucks management is leaning towards staying competitive while getting younger rather than thinking they can actually win a cup ...similar but very different actually

Cgy had up and coming players like backlund baertchi Brodie and good goalie prospect in Irving ...first round power forward in nemisz

It's easy to say canucks have better prospects than the flames did because you are looking at prospects from years ago that didn't materialize and comparing them to prospect who you are still high on

Flames also hired a GM with a cup ring who everyone made fun of ...wait ...

Linden said it could be longer. Jake also hasn't played in a week and Van doesn't play again till Sunday. I think.

Good to get games in.

So what's the consensus on Hansen's injury probably the full 6 weeks so does JB wait this out or make a trade now to fill gaps?

Having some good young pieces that can turn into core players in a few years isn't the same as having a good young core. I can't seem to quote anyone, but just saying.
