That was a really fun game. It really was. I feel bad for Zib man. Such a good, young player.

Hope AV rests a Dman tonight and gets Clendening in to give someone either G or Klein a rest

Hope this nip this quick and they get their game back in order, confidence can slide quick

I wouldn't mind Clendening playing tonight to give someone a rest

but people act like we have Bobby Orr sitting as a healthy scratch every night with this guy

I am really tired of seeing his name all the time

Well, this is it. We knew adversity was coming. Best of luck to Zib for a speedy recovery. And here's hoping that Buch can be back soon to show everyone he was worth the wait.
I don't get why people are upset with or even surprised with the Rangers possession numbers. This is a team that is built to counter-attack with speed and make skilled plays toward the net. That is not a style that lends itself toward holding the puck for long stretches. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Not that the injury to Zibanejad is good news but I am a little relieved it isn't a knee or ankle injruy.

Condolences on Zibanejad. Hopefully the break was clean but seeing how it folded when he went into the boards its kinda hard to guess.

Agreed but also can't continually get pinned in your own zone, since as we saw, too often that ends up in back of the net. Plus, this is a team that also should be able to cycle and forecheck, so that they maintain some possession.

Could have been worse. 6-8 weeks for a bone break is better than 4-6 months for a knee or ankle if the issue is as they say. Hope that Pirri and help out.

A valid point.
And yes Jan, they should be able to sustain a cycle in the O zone. I still don't expect them to come out with higher possession numbers than the opposition, though. with the make up of this team, it's the shooting percentage that I'm keeping an eye on.

Put Skjei on the top pairing the next 2 pairings look

Would rather keep it balanced with McDonagh & Skjei on separate pairings

I don't know how anybody could analyze that game last night in terms of possession

May have been the worst ice in MSG history

great deflection by JT Miller though

Who plays the left side with Klein/Girardi? Don't think either of them ever have

I just like having 2 defenseman on different lines who can create offense. In a perfect world, we find a top pairing right handed D man for cheap.
