I have been an avid reader to this site for about 4 years now &only just signed up recently to post comments . Unfortunately though this site has taken a major downturn since October 12 2016.
I am finding it difficult to get through comments section since then without pure frustration.

You do realize that we beat the 2nd worst(tied for worst) team in the league? Lets not get carried away. We will be already when they leave, but we still need them so that we do not overwhelm Bo.
- Retinalz

Yes why I started post about sloppy play and soft goals that helped. The point about Sedins was not a slight against them. But a praise for team being able to make offense without them for once and win a game.

Edler hasn't hit guys in like 2 years.
- classic321

Lol .... but seriously have you noticed his play with Stecher is more physical. For example like how they combined behind the net Edler takes out big Hanzal with solid hit into boards stopping him cold and Stecher swoops in picks up the loose puck and skates away.

YEah we know AZ was sloppy and soft goals tonight but....

BO skating well and a force out there

Tree love that dive stick check .... plus strong play

Labate nervous with the puck but uses body well

Stecher moves the puck

Edler hits

Miller time is steady

Most of all Sedins NOT needed.

- Nuck4U

slow down there.....what a lot of people dont consider is how much of the opponents defensive coverage the sedins use up. That creates a lot of space for the rest of the team.
Same when lemieux was close to retiring. He always had 3 -4 guys hanging off him. It opened space for the rest of the team. That is valuable.

As I explained to Retinalz up above that wasn't a slight against Sedins. It was to praise the team. They didn't have to rely on them for once and got in secondary scoring from other lines.

On your other point sure they add value. However this time they didn't create space out there cause no one scored while they were on the ice. However, maybe they tired out some of the defenses with their play for the other lines to take advantage of in scoring.

Not saying anything to that but it's more about the way they won tonight I'd prefer to take the positives from. Had to come from behind to beat Arizona last time they played. Great bounce back game after giving the game against Chicago on Saturday. A complete 60 minutes effort.
Ya the Sedin's are definitely still needed.

If Van goes 4-4-1 over that 9 game winless streak. Van would be first in the Division and second in the conference.

Aren't we perfect when Baertschi scores? Think someone mentioned that earlier today. 1-0-0

Listening to Craig Button on "That's hockey" this morning, I realize how I can't take anything he says seriously. Idiot.

I missed the game but caught the hilites...appears Burrows has actual chemistry with Horvat...and Miller with only one goal against

Gord Miller: Revenue earned by the World Cup was disappointing, an NHL executive: “Does this make Olympic participation more or less likely? To me, less.” … “For the World Cup to succeed, it has to stand alone as the only best on best tournament. As long as we go to the Olympics, it won’t.”

Olympics over the world cup gimmick everyday of the week.
