I didn't have a problem with him being benched one game, but with guys like Kulemin, Quine, Prince, Chimera, etc doing absolutely nothing, he shouldn't be the consistent healthy scratch.

Not sure if Gallant is the answer. As for Strome benching. Cappy knows best. He ran Nino off LI and he 1st line LW we don't have right now. Same with another guy he hated in Grabner.

Perhaps Chimera was flop signing but im still scratching my head to how Ladd has proved on almost every team he has been on and has 2 cups. But somehow he cant with Isles. Hmmm.

Don't worry guys. its 20 games of bad luck we have experienced. That's only reason why we blow games in 3rd period.

Im afraid it may be too late. I don't think isles ever more than a 4 game in streak under cappy's tenure and we are dire need of a 10-0 run right now which is highly likely.
Few more weeks of this and we will be officially out of playoff pictures permanently. I put about 15% chance we make it now.

also someone explain to me how RNH would be good pick up for isles? last I checked he is a skill player. We don't like those on our team. Makes Cappys job too difficult.

Talked to Ryan Strome after skate. He was at a loss for words over his benching, which is a surprise. Most talkative player on the team.

Even during the playoff benching last season Strome was upbeat. Sounded very unsure of his current situation.

Gallant apparently wasn't a fan of the moves GM Tom Rowe made in Fl. over the summer. moving out Gaubrandson etc.

Probably didn't like the moves because his team made the playoffs and were solid. Then the GM goes and trades some pieces that Gallant wanted. Could you imagine what Gallant would have done if he was the Islanders coach and he saw the moves Garf made this summer?

Crappy stays quiet and doesn't stir the pot

I think the Isles should still reach out, but I doubt Gallant is taking the job with Garth as GM. Erni dropped his love for Cappy. He still seems to love Garth though.

Funny thing is Rowe was made GM in may of 2016 came in and made these changes. Before being the GM he was the head coach of their AHL affiliate. Im wondering if there was trouble in paradise once the AHL coach becomes your boss?

Isles should have started the year with JT Ladd and PAP and you put the kid line together and then Chimera CC CC as a checking line. You give players set roles and run for it for at least the first 10 games of the season and then make changes if things are not working.

There is no way Snow fires Capuano, unless the ownership demands it. They are buddies.....and Garth is not gonna fire his buddy right before Christmas. This organization has been mismanaged for years now. No sense hitting the panic button and bringing in someone like Gallant just to say you did something. It wont matter.

Im not sure what some of you expect this ownership to do right now. Im sure they are looking into replacements for Snow right now, but wont make that move just to make that move. I believe we will be seeing a new GM by the Draft. At this point as Isles fans i think we all need to take a deep breath and realize this season is finished. Let them go through the motions, and lets hope they can bring in a GM with experience in both GMing ha, and winning. That GM will get to pick his coaching staff, and lets hope its one with a track recording of winning and having good special teams.

I hate to repeat someone elses line, but many on here have said it and i agree. Ladd has been a 20 goal scorer, and cup winner on other teams......yet, he comes to the island and all of a sudden cant score? Something isnt right here......its pretty phucking obvious

It's the fact the season is over already and we lost a season without any kind of moves to try to right the ship. It's just plain wrong and a lousy way for the new owners to take over. It's not too much to have Lou's kid take over as GM and you give him a trial run and you at least bring in Weight or Thompson to finish the year.
