Ho-Sang with the team mentality is a good sign of maturing.....
Let them both stay down in AHL while their winning is contagious and not losing and being ruined .....

No wonder Ho Sang did not seem to be in a rush to be with the big club.

So, the big news... Does ownership press hard to drop Cappy and go after Gerard Gallant! He is an old school, player friendly coach that could light a fire under some of these bench warmers. We need a coach and Florida just handed one to the first team that is willing to make the move. COME ON GUYS... Gallant could be the knight in shining armor!!!

They should consider adding him to the staff but that would be too much of a pro move for this operation.

I wonder if Gallant would take the Isles job since Garth might be out as GM next year and the next GM might want his own coach?

Gallant fired with injuries galore and one of the best records in the league last season. Capuano remains with a healthy line up and the worst record in the league?

Arthur Staple
@StapeNewsday
Cap: Greiss in goal, same skaters. Strome and Mayfield healthy scratches.

Sitting Strome sure did not help last time. Maybe a new coach will help?

Just another example of a how this is a third rate organization. Stick to the status quo and it'll turn itself around. Just like that Cali trip did.

I thought at least Cappy would have a very short leash with the new owners taking over this year. Just does not make sense even if Ledecky has a GM and coach in mind working for another team. You still makes changes for this year and have at least an interim GM and Coach for this year and you do something instead of letting the season go to heck.

He does have a short leash. The problem is that Snow is the one walking him, so he continues to make excuses and saving 'Ernie's' ass. I agree, both have to go. Let Lou's kid take the interim GM tag, hire Gallant for the remainder of the season as an audition and see how it goes. Make changes at the end of the year or try that combo next season as well. As I've beaten this horse before, talk is cheap. That's all that's happened is talk. Time to sack up Ledecky. Cap Crappy and can Snow.

Cappy needs to go now before he ruins anymore young players. Strome already looks lost. There is no guarantee Ledecky will be able to get the GM and coach he wants. Try Lou's kid and Gallant now and maybe they will be the answer?

I agree. I don't even blame Snow and Crappy at this point. They are what they are. This is all on Ledecky. He makes the decisions. It's HIS franchise. (And Malkins') There are NO excuses any more. If Florida can fire Gallant, Ledecky can/should clean house and let someone take both positions for the rest of the season as interims.

That's what I'm saying. You just got handed a coach on a silver platter, no strings. Could he do worse than Crappy? No!! Get off your ass Ledecky and make a move. Your team is in the crapper and you and Malkin are just sitting idly by as Snow pulls the wool over your eyes and gives you a wedgie.

If Gallant is willing to take the job I hire him right now. He might be a little leery if he thinks Garth will be out at the end of the year? All I know is just doing nothing and letting the season fall apart is not the answer. Isles are not a team still in a middle of a rebuild not expecting to do much this year.

Ledecky and Malkin should be telling each another we cannot keep Cappy and Garth any longer when Gallant was just fired with a winning record and 2 points out of the playoffs and his team with injury problems.

Agreed. So here's the plan. You go talk to Gallant's agent and get him on board. I'll go fire Crappy and tell Garth he's next.

It's amazing how we can see how screwed up this team is, but the owners can't. Maybe they do, but thought their hands were tied. Gallant being fired should definitely be an eye opener for them.
