I know kindly, I agree im trying to stay positive. I don't think strome sucks he was just ruined, He looked like he has makings of good player as rookie. Dump and chase grinder hockey doesn't work. - Spartiarti
If a proven coach is brought in and guys like Strome still struggler then I will maybe say these draft picks were lousy. I'm not basing anything on Cappy as coach. |

We've been saying that for years now with Strome. I said it from the beginning of last season that they drafted a skilled center and were asking him to play a grind game on the wing........then when it didnt work they did the worst possible thing and benched him. To me, you never had a need for Strome, because if he wasnt the 2nd line center, then what is he???? Its one of the problems i've said about Snow for a long time.....he does not know how to put paint to canvas and make the painting. He just buys the same paint. |

I hate to repeat someone elses line, but many on here have said it and i agree. Ladd has been a 20 goal scorer, and cup winner on other teams......yet, he comes to the island and all of a sudden cant score? Something isnt right here......its pretty phucking obvious - kindlyrick
Chemistry is a big part of it.
FA signing typically don't work out like you think. Let alone changing the makeup/core of your team over the summer.
There is no doubt that a new coach and GM would be a step in the right direction.
Hell I would fire Crappy's ass right now and let Weight or Thompson be the interim coach.
Something needs to be done. How can you sit by this disaster and let it go on as is?
Florida sure as hell didn't. Columbus and Pittsburg didn't last year. So what the hell is the hold up here with the Islanders |

Yes, Capuano is not a good measuring stick on someones worth, but since the day they drafted Strome, he had no place on this team. Then once they started adding 4,500 centers, its like a sh!t show, and there's zero being done to swap players for whats needed. |

Nice JHS and MDC interview, credit to Thompson at BRI but let's not talk about him as next coach until the BRI season is over. No need to mess up a team that is learning how to win with this mess right now. |

Man i totally agree with you, but im not really sure what the answer is. Something has to be going on behind the scenes. Hell maybe JT has spoken up on Capuano's behalf and thats whats holding this up. As much as i love this team, a part of me loves watching them getting abused night after night. When I watch Capuano's post games now i feel like even he cant believe he's still here. |

Oh yeah, I much rather have my AHL team have a winning season and my 500 MILLION DOLLAR NHL team be the laughing stock of the league. Makes a ton of sense.

I'm almost hoping for a loss tonight just to hear what Cappy says in the post game. |

I do not care what Thompson is doing at Bridge, I do not want him coaching the Isles next year. - ses111
I wouldn't want him as the Coach next year either, however I want a change and I wouldn't be apposed to place him as the interim coach and see what happens. You can't tell until you make the change. Look at how it worked out for the Pens. Not saying it will be the same result however if things go well then you keep him on and when Snow finally gets the boot which you have to assume is going to happen, the new GM makes the decision on whether Thompson stays or goes.
Just my opinion of course, but it can't be worse than crappy.
Again something needs to be done. |

I would take Thompson over Cappy for the rest of the season, but unless Thompson really shows something I rather have an outside GM and coach. |

No to Thompson at all. He also has already said that he would rather stay at the Bridge. He was offered an assistant coaching job and he shut it down |

Any effort to recruit Gallant should be paired with an equal effort to convince Florida that Cappy is their guy. We improve while sabotaging a competitor! - UIF
If we can somehow send Snow to Florida before Capuano this is the only way this would work. |

We need to get Tallon out of Florida to be Isles GM. Wonder if Ledecky is waiting on him? |

I think he is pretty much out of the picture in terms of having a say so. He is still an executive for Florida. |

Can't believe Cappy's going to be coaching this team tonight. If Snow won't act, you'd think one of the players would have seen to it he never left the airport bar on the West Coast. |

Nobody except JT, CC & CC has a place on this team. And even Clutterbuck is getting moved around. Crappy can't coach, can't develop talent and can't manage a game. This is why I've said there is no way in hell that ALL of their draft picks, especially the first rounders, don't have talent or are busts. Crappy would have ruined Gretzky. We've all said it, we all know it, Snow & Crappy need to go. NOW! |
