Was that actually discussed? Our GM still gets grilled for losing baby Franky Corrado on waivers - CanuckDon
Yup
Read a few places and heard it on several trade sports radio shows
Tampa would have won a few cups with that trade |

I saw this...Florida's fan/fans were horrified by the trade. Gudbranson has been a bit disappointing so far as he hasn't been nearly as physical as he was in Florida...Why has he stopped cross checking and fighting? Regardless, I still like the trade. - CanuckDon
He's to busy covering Hutton's ass, EG is why Hutton looks better. |

it is soo true. There have been a few gaffes by Guddy, a couple of blocked shots which have lead to turnovers and goals but for the most part he is constantly covering Hutton. How many odd man rushes have you seen with Gudbranson being the lone D man back vs Hutton. |

Every teams D makes mistakes. This is a young group , you need to expect bad with the good. |

I agree that Hutton is making EG look bad but that's no excuse for his lack of physicality |

It starts off with a few Swedish meat balls at the teams meal then turns into a full blow smorgasbord every Sunday followed by team trips to Ikea after practices .
If you weren't born Swede they will turn ya. |

The Reilly hit was clean and Kadri fought Hansen and will likely fight someone else on Saturday, if challenged. It sucks that Hansen got hurt, but that's hockey sometimes.
I'm sure Martin and Gudbranson will fight as well... and that will be the end of it.
What more do you expect? - nucks_94
Blood Eagle on Kadri.

^^ This 100%
Reilly hit was within the rules, regardless of how you want to look at it as unnecessary.
Martin and Gudbranson will have a go for sure, more of a match in size than DD and Martin.
I think that a few guys will make sure they get their licks in on Kadri and will for sure finish their checks on him but I don't think it will be a all out war or anything. - Codes1087
With the exception of the fact that Hansen did not have the puck. It went off his skate and he never had possession or control so he wasn't eligible to be hit. If that had been Hansen making that hit on Reilly we'd have seen another BS NHL video explaining how it was predatory and by someone who was a repeat offender.
It's time to end the impression that the Canucks are the easiest team in the league to play against. They don't need to deliberately injure someone but they do need to play a hard enough game that injuries could result if the opponent isn't extremely careful. Having their top line players fearing for their lives the whole game is sufficient. |

Gudbranson hasn't really shown enough of the physical presence he was supposed to bring. I also find he loses defensive body position too often and unintentionally ices the puck more than any other d-man. I've been more impressed with Tryamkin than Gudbranson.
He is only 24 so he may yet get better, but I don't know if he's ever going to be considered true top 4 material for a contending team. |

I personally think that Reilly's hit was from a bit of a blindside and was late for sure, but he wasn't given supplemental discipline or a penalty so I guess it doesn't really matter what we think. The rules are what need to change. That hit has no place in hockey, neither does Kadri's |

All I want to see is Kadri getting levelled each and every time. Nothing dirty, just finished, clean, hard hitting checks. |

So with all the talk about the Leaf hits a month ago here I thought we were playing them tonight, but no, to my surprise we are playing the ducks who are 4 points ahead in the standings.
(frank) the leafs, get over the hits. |

Well I've got bad news for all here that will be engaging the trolls from Leafland, I am heading back to Ottawa and Leafman and Dozzer have agreed to keep a watch on this blog.
So just a heads up, don't engage, shut down your HB site, hide your device or give it to your significant other with the condition it's not given back no matter how much you beg, yell, scream, cry or threaten to commit suicide.
Or start sending PM's to micah555 to come babysit for the night. |

Well you could do that, BUT, the ingenious part of my asking Leafman and Dozzer over was so no one had to go to the leaf thread...stay here get the same treatment |
