Are they going to credit Stecher as the second assist on Horvat's goal?

After all the post-game stat changes that they've already made, I doubt we'll see any more. I also thought Granlund might have gotten his stick on the puck as it went to the net on the Eriksson goal, but that doesn't look like it's going to be credited, either.

Thank you Carol!

“I don’t hold that against him,” Benning responded to Virtanen's comment that 'I don’t know exactly what it (the plan) is and they (Canucks) didn’t really communicate with me much.' “Jake has a good heart, but he’s a young player and sometimes a little naive. I told him not to worry about it, but now when guys ask you the plan, here it is: ‘You’re there to practise and play hard a lot in games and keep improving and there’s no timeline as to when you’re going to be up.’"

At least Jake had the decency to call Benning and explain, next time maybe he'll stick to cliches to answer the media like the rest do, it's smarter that way. Leave the candid stuff for the Canucks TV segments where the PR staff have prepped him and approved the questions.

small victories! It sounds like Jake is slowly learning which is great. I am fully on board with NOT trading Jake and letting him develop.

I really liked Jim's comments and I really like how JV phoned him to clear the air. Communication is big, and Jim acknowledging the mess up with the recall and not being upfront with Jake is good to hear.

Get better Jake!

That sounds a clear and constructive goal-oriented plan that Jake can follow.

You have a point about him not being a Bo type. But that doesn't scream diva. But hey he will learn.

JV should have already been clued in by his agent, whoever the farfegnugen that is.... how is it the guy becomes a professional and is not sensible enough to know not to throw mgmt under the bus??

hopefully he spends the season down in the A and comes back to camp next year with a clear and sharper mind and game.

That's on benning. Should have been in the chl last year if he's not a pro.

It's the better move. Have a feeling he will be back up after TDL.

Has anybody mentioned that the 143 Year Old Canucks' D is only 143?

I'd really like to see how that same group looks with Tanev swapped in to replace Larsen. He and Tryamkin could be a very effective shutdown and PK pairing.

I just fully believe rookies (which JV still technically is since he's been in and out of the lineup so much) should say nothing to the media. Especially when your spot on the NHL team isn't assured. No one would think twice if Daniel or Henrik said what JV did because they've earned their spots and have built up enough respect and resume to do that and not be looked at like whiners.

Either way, good on Jake for recognizing that he said something done and owning up to it to Benning and showing that it wasn't him being a diva, but rather a thoughtless comment that he wouldn't have made had he thought twice about it.

Thanks Carol!
As for Philip Larsen, he was mostly invisible—and that's fine by me. If his shifts can play out uneventfully, that's a win in my book.

Also glad to hear Jake made the call to JB, was mature enough to recognize and admit his mistake. Very good news that JB says we are not trading him

Don't know why to hope for that? Development should dictate getting back to NHL play. Shouldn't it be when ready?

20 AHL games played, 3 assists, 0 goals. Development so far is dictating he isn't ready.

With where we currently are, if JV is coming back to Van it is either a desperation move by management, or he goes on such a tear that his play demands he be brought back, which doesn't seem likely.

Miller would be an immediate upgrade over a ton of teams backup goalies. He has no reason to NOT want to go to a cup contending team this TDL.
