Nolan Patrick or Nico Hischier will help with this in the future - Retinalz
Hirschier has just overtaken Patrick for the projected 1OA I believe.
I'd like to see Cal Foote here. |

The more I read about Nico, the more I like him.
"Hischier has 22 goals and 23 assists in 26 games for the Mooseheads so far this year, being particularly dominant on the power play. At even strength he’s a game changing player who is the smartest player on the ice."
http://editorinleaf.com/2...aple-leafs-nico-hischier/
Multiple sources call him the "Swiss McDavid". Though obviously not quite as good. - Retinalz
Same here, I saw this piece comparing him to other Mooseheads through the first 21 games of their draft years: http://halifaxmooseheads....ooseheads-all-time-greats
Pretty impressive list when you consider the two above him were playing together |

We will lose one of Granlund or Baerschi. Unless Hansen is traded. Will suck to lose, but realistically not hard to replace. - Retinalz
You may be right but it could be Sbisa or Pedan. I know Sbisa is a whipping boy for a lot of fans but he has proven to be a capable #5defenseman and able to move up into top 4 when needed.
He is a player I would be looking at as the armchair GM that I am. |

Hischier has the mold of Ehlers and Drouin. |

Also impressive that this is his first year in NA ice. Scouts say he has almost single handedly lifted that team into a respectable place. I also like how he is only on loan, so if he isn't NHL ready he can go straight to Utica to develop instead of Juniors if he is ready for a higher league than juniors, but not quite NHL ready.
EDIT: Also like that he is showing better than Ehlers. and fairly equal to Mackinnon. Kid could go 1OA. |

Tryamkin can replace Sbisa next season. No issues with losing him. |

I have been following Michael Rasmussen and Nikita Popuguaev who are also potentially good picks and both fill.a strong need, have good size, speed and talent.
Of course I lean more towards Rasmussen as he is a Surrey lad.

It's my understanding that coaching won Pittsburgh the cup. |

Were you able to see that it was coaching, or did someone tell you that? I am one of the unlucky ones that wasnt born with it |

Benning: If we can add more picks, we'd like to do that this year. I'm not trading any of the picks we have
- LeftCoaster
Biega will be trade bait once he gets his games in, guys like that will have value for the expansion draft. |

Despite advocating for him being sent to the AHL, I do think he has already proven he can be a bottom 6 NHLer as well. My hope is this time helps him be better offensively - WhiteLie
I was encouraged hearing JB get into specifics about different parts of JVs game during the interview last night. Doesn't sound like there are plans to trade him any time soon |

I'm not sure Biega will get all the games he needs before the TDL, but if there's a team that can play him to get the last few he would have some value. |

It's like people don't realize they live in Canada. Meeting people from the area while I was in Vic really surprised me at how little they had experienced of actual winter.
I remember a couple years ago everyone was freaking out because there was supposed to be northern lights visible over Vic for 1 night. Went down to Cadboro Bay that night and there was 1 little barely visible band of blue light in the sky

Kessel was a 5OA playing 3rd line - Retinalz
In 2011, the Canucks 3rd line was Raffi Torres (5th overall), Manny Molhotra (7th overall) - injured, ended up on the 4th line in the cup final. Lapierre was a 2nd rounder and Hansen a late round pick. |

The West Coast isn't really much like the rest of Canada though. We don't really see snow or ice. We see a dusting of snow every couple years but that is the extent of it really. |

Oh I know, but that doesn't stop you from traveling to other parts of the country, it's just weird that some people are so isolated that way. |

It's -30 up in Fort MacKay, plus windchill. I just got in from an hour of putting some temp wrap inside o'brien boxes so our instruments won't freeze....damn it's cold out there. |
