I have never been so happy for the team to have a few days off
EVER - jimbro83
I totally get that but I can't stand waiting for the next game after the effort they gave in Pitt. Their schedule has been rough but hopefully it will benefit them later on.

you and I are in total agreement on this one
Iginla will definitely be traded somewhere, may as well be the NYR - jimbro83
If this is on their radar I would love to see them do a mid season trade to give him more time to acclimate rather than throw him into the locker room at the end of the season.

I think he hung up the skates a while ago. Don't have to worry about the Rangers trying to get him to play. - mdw7413
I think he's referring to Iginla. |

I kind of get the feeling Colorado will trade Iginla ASAP, their season is going down the tubes real fast |
|
|
|
he isn't having a good enough season to warrant a big return, and the Rangers have decent cap space compared to other contenders - jimbro83
He's definitely having a rough season, but I think Colorado is going to be looking for a 2nd rounder for him, there's probably better options out there at that cost. |

Problem is, Iggy is probably going to demand a bigger return than he is worth based on name alone. - smellmyfinger
I think what the Devils got for Jagr can provide a bit of a benchmark on that one. My guess is that he would require a 2nd or 3rd round pick to acquire (most likely a 3rd), and the Avs might have to retain a bit of money to make it work. He's 39 years old, and he doesn't provide all the much offensively anymore. I can't imagine the interest for him being too high, especially at that salary.

Has anyone actually watched him play this year? Could he keep up with the team? I don't want a (frank)ing Staal 2.0 |

Think you guys trade Raanta? He would probably fetch a decent return and I think if he is on your roster Vegas may take him for nothing. |

I don't think they'd trade Raanta during this season, maybe they'd trade him before expansion draft so they don't lose him |

I've been scoffing about the Rangers pvssy mentality since the first week of the season. What has been happening to the team in recent weeks was simply bound to happen; and it won't stop anytime soon. Why? No response or payback ever happens and the Powerplay has gone terribly stale and ineffective. An effective PP is one of the best paybacks a team can do to their opponent.
A trade needs to happen after the holidays to get someone in here. I don't want Glass, nor some goonie that plays 5 minutes a game. Need a Prust-type player at the very least or go after a guy like Evander Kane (I don't care about his off-ice issues...didn't happen while on the Rangers) that plays with an edge. I also like Jordan Nolan's edgy game in LA.
Something not titled Tanner Glass needs to happen and soon before someone gets run at and injured. |
