I know everyone has their sights set on playoffs, but let's face it, we're at the bottom of the league and Murray still hasn't made any moves. I think if we don't see some sort of trade to improve this team in let's say the next two weeks, the silent tank is on. I'm just curious as to who Murray maybe be targeting in the draft. |

aside from the Montreal Canadiens, the Atlantic Division is wide open...it may take only 90 or so points to squeeze into the third slot in the division |

the last 3 games showed me the sabres dont have the heart, coach or horses to catch most of the teams in the division

Wide open for TB, FLA, BOS or Toronto. Not for the Sabres |

sure looks that way...then again, we'll have more answers between now and the all-star break |

am reserving judgement til at least the all-star break...sure they haven't been good the last four games, but we'll see what the next four or five weeks have to offer |

Boston is 8pts up and they are in the 3rd spot in the division. We are currently 3W - 8L in our division. Not saying it can't be done, but without a trade or something else that will shake up this team, the odds are extremely remote.

The Sabres could win 8 in a row and conceivably still not be in a playoff spot.
The problem isn't just catching Boston, it's catching 4 teams, then playing above their pace the rest of the year. |

What do we have that's attractive to other teams? Our assets are limited at this juncture. |

Oh, I have no idea at this point. I was just saying the time to do something is fast approaching and if don't see Murray make some sort of move soon, I think the writing is on the wall that we're heading into seller mode and looking at a high draft pick this June.

I forgot where I saw the article, but they kept referencing it on the Sirius NHL channel. If you were five points or more out of a spot by US Thanksgiving, you were pretty much toast. The loser point makes that much of a difference. It should be noted that a notable exception would be the 2010-20111 Sabres, but a Bylsma led team doesn't exactly inspire that type of confidence right now. |

Problem is outside of Colorado and Arizona, most teams still think they have a shot. So we are really forced to wait, and therefore increase our picks value |

I loved the looks of Kulikov before he was injured but he has been a trainwreck lately. And I've been a huge critic of Franson but he has looked decent this year. Was really hoping for kulikov to be our 1st pair with risto |

Risto, McCabe, Guhle will be part of our future defensive core for a while
Bogo, Franson, Kuli... I'm pretty sure we'll be moving on from. You can't be paying north of 3million for this caliber of player.
It would take a year or two but, Lilijegen would really help if we could draft high again. Him in the top 4 along with Guhle for the 2019-2020 season I think would have us as contenders. |
