I hate pretty much everything Buffalo except the Wings, I agree there was NOTHING wrong with that Hit, Hard & Clean.

Robin didn't start the scrum at the end of the game but he did escalate the whole thing when he cheese boarded Buff. Buff snapped he would have killed mr MMA had it not been for the net being in between them and the ref and a couple Buffalo players trying to hold him back.

didnt see what started it but the next game gonna be good.

hit was legal, and brutal, not that McCabe didnt get messed up as well. Major difference is he knew it was coming and had the balance to not bounce his head off the ice, Laine's ping-pong-ed off the ice and now, who knows.

Hopefully its not Lindros 2.0 and Laine comes back proper.

It was a head shot. McCabe's helmeted head struck Laine in the head. Who cares if he struck his chest tangentially for a microsecond prior? Illegal or illegal - likely legal as rules stand now. Head shots shouldn't be legal whether they are primary contact point or intentional or unintentional. Body checks are great, head shots are not. Great day for the game of hockey.

Ridiculous. I hope Laine is ok but to suggest that players be penalized for unintentional head contact on a clean body check is ludicrous.

Maybe, Laine should be suspended for his head shot on McCabe according to your logic. Poor guy took twenty stiches and a black eye.

If it was a head shot, an elbow or a shoulder hit would do way more damage. I know id stick those 2 into him before hitting him in the head with my own damn face. lol
