sven is slowly coming into his own, I'd probably trade granlund to them for a 2nd or something. - SRam19
I still look at Sven as streaky and is riding high on the crest of the wave this month.
I still look at him as a B player ( 3-9 usable )
He reminds me a lot of Mason Raymond but doesn't fall down.
I would take the first and move Granlund up in the mean time .
I would draft that 6'6 kid Poppasloppapus and use the other first round pick to draft a Dman |

Apparently Horvat gets a $250,000 bonus for making the all-star team.
Must be nice - classic321
From the NHL or from the Canucks? "Listen, we want you to go play in this low stakes game over a weekend where we'll pamper you and celebrate yours and others talent without really showing it off. Don't worry, of course you'll get paid. 250k sound good?" |

So you would take someone out of the lineup on a 6 game win streak to see if something else works - VANTEL
Stop going to the past. I didn't bring that up. I am looking at upcoming games that's all.
Rodin and Boucher have been declared fit to play. People would say so when does he get in? I think WD said in interview: "They want me to play him." The they being management and everyone else he clarified later. He further said I am not sure about him as in play away from puck. He says he likes his play with the puck.
So WD caution is the issue not an injury thing. At some point he will have to decide if he wants to win by scoring more. Then the try not to lose method by just giving trust to players who he has seen play adequately defensively. |

The only thing Mrs. Marwood knew about Dire Straits was "Money for Nothing".
I introduce her to their first 5 albums. She is a massive fan, now!!
The double live album "Alchemy" is fantastic! |

I can understand the reasons why Nuck4U wants to see Rodin, there was a lot of hype generated at the beginning of the season about his talent and skill. I not going to give him any kudos for the preseason because is a stupid indication of a players ability. The real indication is functioning in the NHL with some sort of consistency.
The only real consistency Rodin has shown, is that he has really weak knees and ankles, I've never bought into the hype surrounding him or Larsen.
Megna, Chaput, Skille and Gaunce have shown hard work and dedication to the 4th line role and deserve the meager minutes they're receiving, IMO, Rodin deserves SFA. |

The only Media and people upset about Rodin not getting in are the Ledge Jumpers like You Taj Pratt Tambir. Most people couldn't give a flying fuk about a person who has yet to score a NHL goal. - VANTEL

I was reading on Twitter today TB CHI NSH looking for scoring help for TDL. If you could get a first for Baertschi would you trade him ?
I would. - VANTEL
In a heartbeat. I like Baertschi but agree with your next post. He is a streaky complimentary player. |

I am pretty sure those people are more disappointed about Rodin not playing more than Rodin is actually disappointed. The kid seemed pretty honest about why the coach didn't play him. Knee gave out a few games before, didn't want to risk injury and offset lines as a 13th forward, case should be closed. - Codes1087
He said later he's fine. The it's okay maybe I wasn't 100% was to protect WD. Rodin also said you have to earn your minutes. It's a tough league. You have to be ready so you can help the top 9 when it comes. He's being a mature pro with those statements. The Flames bench game is closed. Only talk now is when is it right to play him. |

He said he was ready to go if he was called upon, but admitted to tweaking it again and it being sore after the game in Calgary. If I am WD, and I need to dress an extra forward because Tanev and Hutton can't go, I am making sure that one of my players (who he is being told should play top 9) is resting that knee and avoiding further damage. |

I have no idea how he performs in practice but that is the only opportunity he has been given to show he can function in the NHL with some sort of consistency. So I can understand Nuck4U and others desire to see Rodin get a bit more leash as it is a chicken and egg thing.
I don't really buy the injured thing, unless this mgmt is truly more incompetent than they seem. You don't dress an injured player over a healthy player, full stop.
If they just needed to fill out the roster and have someone sit on the bench after not calling up a player then you sit Boucher who at least is healthy.
WD has basically said he doesn't think Rodin is good enough away from the puck, which is fair. He is the coach and makes those calls. |

The NHL is a tough game . I like the Canucks mostly this year and think most of the forwards give 110% everytime on their 45 second shift.
The players that I have seen coasting the most putting in time are JV Rodin The Twins. Most of the other guys have full out hustled . |
