I'd actually prefer having a look at Boucher over Rodin. He has at least been productive in the NHL - CanuckDon
I'd rather see Rodin cuz of the hype and to know if this guy is legit... |

The reality is.... The game is over and it doesn't matter. 13th forward doesn't play and the hockey world should not lose its mind.
In other news (trying to change the subject) I wish the Canucks would go back to the stick in the rink jersey full time and lose the orca. Little sad we won't see the alternates next year, I am kind of done with the whale. - Codes1087
Yes it's over. The ONLY thing I brought up was the when from now. You keep bringing up the Flames game silliness. So what's your thoughts on the when? |

Play them both for all I care, is it really all that essential that Megna/Chaput/skille keep getting trotted out. Those guys can muck and grind at this level, which is great to know. Lets see if one of the more talented, apparently, guys can make some plays. |

Indeed and it is something that I fondly associate with the westcoast. But not with the Canucks.
If we were the Vancouver Orca's I would be all for it. |

anyway..
The when what? When Rodin starts to see minutes in the top 9? I am not sure. I think the Reid Boucher move was great. Having Rodin and Boucher nipping at the heels of those 4th line guys (Chaput/Gaunce/Skille) should give them a little more hustle in their game. With LE getting placed with the Sedins again, I would love to see Megna take a seat while one or both of Boucher and Rodin draw in. |

This is the face palm right Makita?
He didn't run off home, he was given permission to sign in Sweden following a few injury riddled years in the AHL. He was still a Canucks prospect, and this is why they were able to bring him back home.
No drama whatsoever. - belcherbd
I don't know belcher bd, I'm still pissed at you from what happened last week, obviously you haven't called mom, she would have ripped a strip off of you after hurting my feelings last week.
Ummm, not that I went crying to her or anything, she just knows. |

Orca bay is no longer affiliated with the Canucks, therefore, we should probably move on from it. The orca served it's purpose, but we should really move on or move back depending on your taste. Stick in the Rink is by far my favorite. |

Great. What I was wondering as well. But got a wierd who gives a frank answer from some others. I don't know how the 4th livers can hustle more. They play all out just that their upside has shown to be limited. Guance I will give some slack to for being a young rookie. |

Ya the stick is nice but I also liked the spaghetti too, although I think that was mostly just because it was the logo when I started watching. |

Bo + Kenins + Dorsett were more productive than Skille/Chaput/Gaunce.
Clutterbuck+Martin+Cizikas show that 4th line players can produce.
I think 4th lines don't necessarily need to be grinder lines, or minutes only eatin so that the other lines can rest. I think a good team can roll 4 lines and that 4 lines should be able to produce. Gaunce+Skille+Chaput have not been terrible, but I would like to see more. |

Kuzma said today that his defensive game at practice just isn't there. - VANTEL
If that's the case then he won't learn sitting and practising once a week. Then my suggestion of a while ago send him back to Comets for another conditioning stint to adjust to NA game. So if that's the knock on not trying Rodin then I guess Boucher won't get a crack either unless there is injury. Look for him to be waived again when Hansen gets back. |

It was widely reported back in May of 2013 that he "surprisingly signed" back home. He was considered a bust back then and injury prone.
Not dramatic just opinions.
Edit: my opinion is tainted on this subject as I am in the NO MORE SWEDES camp. |

I find the criticisms of a guy like Chaput, as well as Vey and Etem before him, very funny when people give longer leashes to guys like Gaunce, only because they are Canuck draft picks. Gaunce has done nothing at the NHL level, he is not very effective in any role he has been put in IMO |

That's funny. How can you score if you don't play? I don't know about them screamers I take the cerebral approach. We have a guy brought in to improve top 9 scoring. At some point, would like to see what he can do while Hansen is out and we have AHL injury call ups munching up those minutes without adequate production. - Nuck4U
I knew I heard the Millenial Falcon crash land in this thread.

If he isnt going to the right places defensively in practice, how the hell do you think he is going to do it in an NHL game? Seriously man, have a little faith here that the Canucks are managing their players properly. How is Tryamkin doing? Did his constant practicing hurt his development? Or how about Horvat's deployment over the past 2.5 seasons? Did 4th line minutes and lack of PP time make him a worse player? |
