I think by the end of this season Bo will show he is that guy.
- Retinalz

He will still need a top 2C to compliment him.
We lack that & no prospects in the system yet.

I was last for awhile but two or three big weeks can do wonders.
- LeftCoaster

I would have killed it, but my oppents goalie played 1 game last week and had a good game and that kept him afloat. meanwhile schneiders 2 SO get destroyed by my back-ups one bad game. maybe i should just role 1 goalie.

Ovechkin ties Rocket Richard tonight and he's now at 999 points, one of the best pure scorers ever.

They better start playing if they want that to happen.

signed,

An actual fan of the Sedin's.

- dbot

Don't matter if they play better or not...they won't get 7 mil again....from anyone in the league. But JB will sign em again you can bank on it

No, unlike the Canucks, they've drafted really really well.

It is funny reading all the panic about finding a number one center.

By the start of the 2018-19 season Bo will be that guy. We need to find a number three center that will develop into a number two.

Virtanen, but I liked it at the time

It's Gillis's drafting that's hurting us, not Bennings.

The ones who will turn out to be busts obviously.

Hodgson was the golden child until he wasn't ditto with many more.

Yes, enough to trade Forsberg to Preds. But let's not lament on Gillis era holes. JB filled out some in youngish players and adding new NHL capable drafted players. Last draft showing up well too and more to come this draft.

Yeah Virtanen seemed like the pick we needed but The kid let himself go and decided to party.

Sort of out of JBs hands

I know I will sound overly optimistic but 4 centre's drafted in the last 2 years. Maybe not big names nut out of Zhukenhov, Gaudette, Abols and McKenzie we might get a #2 (I like what little I have seen from McKenzie)

Just need to continue to draft well and build towards the future. As I just said, it's the Gillis era that's hurting the organization right now not Benning....in terms of young players pushing older guys out.

Wait you were on the 3C before of need when Hank goes lol.
Sutter can fill out 2C. Kessler light maybe. He's a better 3C but we have to wait for that draft pick this season or next. With Hank leaving that's 1/2 years of Sutter at 2C. Arguably he's that now. Bo is leaping Sutter and telling Hank "I got this." If not this season then next. Then maybe he gets an upgrade or two on wing. Depending on how far along Sven comes.

Or maybe he's just not ready yet and was rushed in or maybe just not as good of a player as JB thought.

I could of sworn you had McCann penciled in as #1C not that long ago...Not trying to be a huge Richard but my point being we don't know what these kids are yet or what they will be in the future.

Other than Horvat they are all still mysteries IMO.

I didn't suggest it was Bennings fault, I just simply said the Canucks haven't drafted well, so to your point, there's no one pushing the Sedins out the door like Washington has in Kuznetzov, Johansson, Burakovsky and Vrana.

I think you can, or should be able to, start to see what you have in a kid by the time they're 20.

IMO Virtanen will never be what they hoped when they took him 6th overall, which is unfortunate....but that's just me.

Benning's 2014 draft....5 of his 7 picks have the potential to make the NHL, or are, or have played in the NHL.

We need more of those drafts!
