I would take Dzingel as part of a package for Duchene... kid reminds me a lot of Hoffman.

Heard tonight Ceci has played 25mins+ 11 times already....thats 1st D-man time. He's very underrated this year.... but is rightly criticized because offensively he hasn't been up to par. He had a tough start but with White I would do that deal (with a 1st)

The ottawa senators can't devlop prospect and are too cheap to trade for any a 6m player by moving out ELCs and bridge contracts.

Cody ceci is a 3rd pairing Dman by league standards...5v5 45.69 cf% 5 points in 42 games...and for the old school guys who is a -10....STINKS....so in simple terms he is an non offensive dman who isnt strong defensive nor does he have the ability to carry the puck to get out of trouble

All you do is talk crazy....stats don't tell the whole story. I've already stated numerous times that he has had a very poor start compared to where he should be - but he is playing much better. This is where you need the eye test - so watch some of the games.

I do agree that Sens won't trade for a Duchene, but Ceci is playing those mins on a team that holds the 3rd best GA in the entire East. White, Ceci, Dzingel, 1st is more than fair for Duchene and Beauchemin. (also don't throw that stupid +/- stat). Look at Shattenkirk and tell me he's a bad D-man? They suck defensively while Ceci has struggled offensively; even still.

ceci sucks, its simple to say it man. He isnt a 1st or 2nd pairing dman by league standards. There isnt one good stat line about him that says you know what there is something there. Traditional or Fancy Stats. Hes a warm body dman you pick up during UFA bc no team wants to pay a 3rd pairing Dman over 4m. Could he be more...maybe but there is nothing showing in 250+ NHL games that yeah hes going to be something awesome soon just you wait

There are 2 thing that stand out about him, is inability to drive zone exits or entries or that he he the 10th worst giveaway ratio in the NHL by all Dmen. So a guy that can't get the puck out of the his own zone, or into the offensive zone, doesnt produce offence, and gives the puck up more than 90% of the league .....he isnt very good

Sens have nothing that the Avs want. The sens are too cheap to add 6-10m in salary. Get that through you thick skull.

Ceci makes 2.8m to be a pylon. wiercioch only makes 800k is way more useful than he is on the worst D core int he league

This team is a disaster and I guaranteed as soon as the deadline hits and they move 3-4 rentals out and either pick up waiver guys or promote AHL guys they are going to win enough games to screw themselves out of a Top 3 pick

yeah i watched the 3rd, brutal.. avs will be in the lottery which takes luck no matter how many you lose. and vegas is screwing bad teams this year also right? aren't they guaranteed a top 5

if it were me i'd get as much as possible for landy now to a team over paying trying to make the playoffs then in summer trade varly for anything, he's been terrible and sign a FA goalie or trade for 1 of the many disgruntled ones left unprotected from vegas. never trade a C as good as duchene. wingers available every year no1 C not so much

Landy has been really solid the past 10 games or so. I think he was battling some sort of injury and is looking like his old self again. I dont disagree, There are question marks about him...injuries and his production always dipping every season but Avs are so thin on the Wings and he really is their best defensive fwd, there is no one like him on the roster or in the system. Unless they can find a way to replace those intangibles of him, I think he stays over duchene, at least in my mind. Duchene is the better player and way more valuable to the team, but they would be really screwed on the wings and during this UFA there is crap out there

screw intangables, duchene is better, waaaaaaay better.. greer, mikko you already got 2 top 6 wings right there for next year throw jost up there to small for C anyway only need 1 FA wing and your your D would be improved with landy trade. be in the playoffs in 4 short yrs

what a heart breaking loss tonight! Pickards performance was truly amazing and he deserved to win just based on the 0-0 score after the first. plus he just seemed to see the puck really well. one of the Ducks announcers was talking to Francois Allaire that commented Pickard reminded him of Giguere which I consider really high praise. so...anybody have any answers as to why Barrie was absent tonight? also, why in the heck is Gelinas not on the PP w that rocket of a shot? stick that guy on the second unit and let him blast away so he's more attractive in a trade. also, any thoughts on sticking Zadarov in front of the net on the PP? that guy is huge and would block a huge portion of the net.
