Last time I did mushrooms I made the mistake of throwing a whole shopping bag full on the kitchen table and telling everyone to help themselves. People did way too much. A couple of hours later a van load of indo gangsters did a lawn job in my front yard and I was out there with a 12 guage
Things got crazier by the hour. Someone invited some strangers into my house and I didn't know... out came the 12g again... cleared the house. Spent the rest of the night alone - boonerbuck

With Hansen return soon. He'll be focus of trade bait too. He's exactly what every Cup and play off team needs for run. The Vegas factor and Granlunds emergence may push it that way. Plus Megna's speed is all WD needs in place of Hansen.
So JB may pull the the trigger there too. Not just D. Which is injury plaugued. A Hutton move doesn't protect D for Vegas. Needs to be Tanev or Sbisa. Guddy is out for playoff teams. But could he be moved to Devils or Isles?
I'd prefer for long term gain and minimizing Vegas exposure to move Hansen and Sbisa at the TDL. High draft picks and prospects the asking price. Burr & Miller as UFA's won't get picked. So likely kept (NTC issues) by JB for Canuck run. They can resign if need be after Vegas draft to short small money deals. |

That's the point. He's too valuable to just expose and lose. So JB needs to trade him by TDL. Greatest value there as he is exactly the type of player all the Cup teams need. Can play anywhere in line up. If injuries happen can fill top line scoring role. PK, speed, grit and leadership. Okay he's not nasty but he's a gamer and now in his prime will hit too. |

I think people didn't get the rules. Like the minimum exposure qualifications was just that on positions. It didn't protect everyone else who wasn't exempt by age/ELC. The 7F/3D/1G is the extent of protection. |

I'm happy to see JB hanging the "Open For Business" sign in the window.
With 20 or more teams in the playoff hunt, it's a seller's market, and D-men are in high demand.
It's crazy to think we have a surplus on the back end suddenly, considering that has been a weakness for so long. The emergence of Tryamkin and Stetcher has put us in a great position to cash in.
I wish they had made an effort to get Pedan and Subban some games though, to really see how deep the pool really is. |

I hear you. But if you look back Tree and Stech were 8 & 9 on D list. Pedan & Subban 10 & 11. If it weren't for several injuries we wouldn't have seen Tree & Stech at all. Maybe with more injuries and a trade Subban gets a shot. Pedan is done on waiver exempt recall for season. |

You're definitely not invited to the annual HB Canuck thread summer picnic. |

Our young D/ prospects w a shot:
OJ
stetcher
Tree
EG
Hutton
subban
Neil
Olson
brisbouis
Forwards:
Boeser
Horvat
bae
JV
Lockwood
Gaudette
I'm also excluding Tanev. Our forward depth is horrendous. Don't draft a D unless it's a clear cut BPA - CanuckDon
Craig Buttons was on the 1040 today and said Lockwood should have made Team USA this year and definitely will next year.
He said Gaudette is almost certain to be a NHL player. It is not grimm at all |

That's true. I think we would have seen Pedan get a few games in, but they wanted to get Biega enough games to qualify him for the expansion draft as well. It's been a juggling act all year. Luckily since Biega will qualify, it opens the possibility of trading Sbisa.
I do think they should have taken advantage of Pedan's waiver exempt period by splitting press-box duty between him and Subban over the last month or so, instead of just letting Pedan sit on his hands until the window closed.
I'm still thrilled with the sudden depth, at the most marketable position, that JB has been able to put together. This is probably JB's first real chance to make trades from a position of strength. |

JB talking about our Dmen mentioned Tree, Gudbranson, OJ, and Stecher. Could be Hutton or Tanev that he's considering moving though I really hope not - NorthNuck
Asked if he is considering moving Gudrandson since Tryamkins emergence , he replied" No . I want toughness on all three lines. We struggled when Tanev and Edler were out of the line up. I like Tryamkin Gudbrandson and Sbisa for their toughness. Stecher has had a real good year. "
So who is left? |

Sorry, but it's very grim We have 4 forward prospects with a shot. Virt, Boeser, Gaudette and Lockwood. You need a lot more than that!! |

Sorry but I don't see a sellers market. Vegas will ruin TDL. Moves will happen before the draft. |
