I know I am just wasting my time but I can't help it.
The record with McDavid in the line up last year was not projecting to be 100 points. Far from it.
The number one reason why the Oilers are on pace for a 100 point season this year as opposed to last is the addition of Larsson.
Larssons ability to eat crucial minutes and beat down the highest quality of competition has allowed everyone far more breathing space.
From Sekera to Talbot to McDavid himself.
There are many reasons why the Oil are better, but if we are talking the #1 reason the Oilers are better this year compared to last, it is Larsson IMO. |

Added toughness has helped a lot as well, but if we are talking the #1 reason the Oilers are better this year compared to last, it is Larsson IMO. - Aerchon
Neither side (Larsson vs McDavid/Talbot) can claim to be the sole or #1 reason for the Oilers return to respectability. Hockey is a TEAM sport and for once the Oil are a talented TEAM up front, in back and in net. They couldn't say that before. |

How many games have the Oilers won in overtime? Seems like they are always going to overtime. |

5 in OT and 3 in the SO. They've lost 4 in OT and 3 in the SO. |

There's an interesting stat about Larsson that I heard on a recent broadcast about how Larsson's last game where he posted a minus was Dec 9th. While plus/minus is a weak stat on its own, in extremes like that it exemplifies the type of success he's been seeing of late. As with Sekera, it seems like it just took him some time to adjust. |

Having the leagues leading scorer doesn't hurt. His apples alone indicate how much better he makes everyone around him, but I have to agree with this to a certain extent. |

I think it was pretty good. Ahead of it's time as a dark comedy. Plus Wynona shower scene. |

Dude, I like Larson. Solid defensive player.
But if you think he's been more integral to our success than connor mcdavid, I seriously have no idea what to say to you. That's insanity
