why doesnt Chicago pick this guy up? they always pick up the guys that havent won a cup and give them a chance. why not snag him and stick him on the 3rd line w Hossa....maybe the 2nd line w Toews? if I were Iginla though, I'd be asking for Washington. they look like they're going to take it this year. and they need another vet to balance things out. plus he can take Ovie's PP spot on the 2nd PP unit and clean up when he's not on a line w Justin Williams

Honestly it would have to include niemi. He only has a year left on his contract. In a perfect world the stars trade niemi without holding any salary. I would like see niemi and like a 3rd for Varlamov. 2nds and 3rds seem to be the going rate for goalies the last few years.

I'd be happy with it. I know the stars are in the market for a goalie still and pray they don't hand bishop a 7×7 contract. I'd much rather Varly.

That seems decent. Saves about 1.5m in cap sapce next season and that's the final year on his contract, add in the 2nd round pick and I'd be happy with it.
