I get that we had a ton of picks, but the 50 contract limit has rarely if ever been an issue for any team.

They have a few years to decide to keep any pick.

Plus, they could have just chose to not keep the 5th-7th round guys, and use the 2nd round picks they had.

None of the trades are really that horrible, but they also don't make much sense outside of ROR (whose signed long term)

My point has been made.

Sabres had scouts at a lot of Kings games and LA has some cap space to work with ($5m deadline space which could be $11m with ltir.). I don't see them able to protect all their dmen come the expansion draft, so it seems they may be a good team to look at for a trade. Don't know if they would be willing to trade Muzzin or Martinez or what it would take. They have 5 lefties and only 2 righties with Gilbert being sent down.
Also, wouldn't be surprised to see Vanek traded to the Hawks.
