Looks like a shoulder injury to Sutter to me. Either that or Elbow? |

I'm guessing the direction comes from ownership. different coach or gm will have the same direction from ownership.
just give the fans something to cheer for. as been mentioned more than a few times, i can't imagine the team without Horvat. can't imagine the pressure he is under. keeps getting better.
when the Sedins are gone, we will have different poop. and Edler - hillbillydeluxe
The owners are definitely an issue, agree there. As for "just give me something to cheer for", unless it's youth, I'm way past that, I've been a fan of this failed franchise for 40 years. That just doesn't fly with me anymore, or the fans that I know that are my age....it just doesn't.
You build this properly or you're going to have a lot of fans who just won't care anymore. If they start winning at some point, there's always interest by fair-weather fans, but the hardcore ones won't be as interested. |

Thanks Carol. Yeah another year full of injuries to key players. What's interesting with all the multitudes going down the Sedins keep going. Too bad the rest would do them good. Plus allow us all to see what others will do in their absence. Oh well. There's always next year |

We're in the same boat and I've been sitting here since 2012 waiting for something to start happening. I'll start giving a (frank) again when they decide to finally start a rebuild. |

I think they follow last years path at the TDL. Say the offers weren't there or good enough. Go to town with your 5 picks Jim. |

A large reason why the building is empty when they start losing is because they've (frank)ed about for their entire history and created an apathetic fan base. |

Yep, I've been following this team as long as you and Vantel as well, they need to market to the young keeners who haven't been down that Rodeo. |

Before the season started, I had the highest hopes for Horvat and Baertschi and then was a bit surprised by Granlund. all part of the youth movement. disappointed with LE but maybe that is part of the adjustment for him on a new team, still disappointing. most committed fans would have been okay with liquidation and rebuild. not sure tank is always the right word. players should always be playing hard.
as per the build it properly, JB has to make some great picks these next couple drafts or there will be a change in gm. which will likely happen anyway.

Jim Benning was setup beautifully by Mike Gillis (unknowingly) and Ryan Kesler when he took over in 2014, they had a multitude of draft picks in which to start a rebuild with, sadly the owner wouldn't let a proper rebuild (in my mind) happen.
My dislike for everyone from the coach up to the owners started then and there, and nothing's changed for me about them to this day. |

I like Benning, perhaps not in a GM role. The rest, who cares? |

Thanks Carol!
I wasnt too attentive to the game last night, but it really stood out to me how soft the defense are/were. On all the goals (Sbisa had a particularly tough night), the D were fishing for the puck instead of playing the body. I dont know the reason, and I honestly havent really paid attention to it closely this year, but those were bad.
Goal 1: Malkin free to stand in front and fights off the stick check,
Goal 2: Edler fishes for the pass twice instead of finishing the eventual goal scorer, that would have eliminated him from the play
Goal 3: Malkin makes a great, great play, but still Sbisa takes the angle on the puck instead of body and misses both
Goal 4: More fishing for the puck, 2 Pens in the area able to swing at the puck several times before putting it in.
I think Miller, especially after the 3rd goal was wondering what the hell was happening. He played well but tough to be exposed like that |

Yep they've got just enough youth over achieving and some decent goal tending to play the same song again. Feel bad for the 40+ year fans ... i'm at about 25 and painful enough.
How I wish we were in Colorado's position ... they'll be back and a force in 2-3 years. |

I don't mind JB because of his drafting, TL should of stuck to selling sunglasses and I wouldn't mind WD if we had a young team for him to teach but not for this group with 8 players over 30. |

Fans didn't want a tear down after coming so close to Cup. They were looking for a retool to go after it again. Now 6 years later you got only 6 guys left from that team. A few propects in the system and mix bag of players that if all healthy is behind the curve of competitiveness among other winning teams.
SO now with contracts being what they are a few more of the older team will be moved. It won't change anything on the ice for years. But it will open spots for the next crop of prospects to earn a spot. While more guys are drafted and hopefully developed.
None of the above means success. Just means change. Now the success part well that seems to be a whole different chase. Notice how many teams stacked with draft picks or rebuilding from tear downs are still at it for years. |

You are right. It was where Jim Benning was flying into to meet with other Nucks management to go over JB's scouting in Europe and go over trade scenarios for the upcoming TDL. |
