25% shooting for Kane tonight.
- stashu

I think he's back at a shooting percentage that's appropriate for his talent
From what I've seen,
The big difference is his shot selection

A lot of u guys watch more closely than me,
So I may be off here...

But it seems like he's taking wild shots from just inside the blueline a lot less
Also seems like he's passing more when he has a chance to shoot
(Ex: that 2 on 1 with Reinhart)

I was falling asleep until the Kane/Reinhart 2 on 1.

I think people that want Bylsma fired need to look at Colorado and see what an actually bad coached team looks like

- sbroads24

Yeah and their roster has some amazing offensive weapons and they have 17 less goals than Arizona. Arizona! in the same amount of games. That's brutal.

Look, whoever you are.
I have followed this team for about 30 years or so.
Please don't tell me which team to follow.
You don't like my comments, you can ignore my comments, and I sure
as hell ignore yours!!!
And, if you are still not satisfied, then you can go do whatever you want!!!

- Sabresfan88

Actually...
u aren't ignoring my comments, are you?

Look, whoever u are...
it's a message board. U wanna be negative for no reason, I'll probably continue to call u out for it bc that bugs me.
It's nothing personal

Guess Kane read all my angry comments about him before. Kids been playing like a (frank)ing machine.

I can't even tell if we were good. That was a dreadfully boring game
- sbroads24

The Avs game plan seemed to focus on floating shots at Lehner's glove while making sure not to get any traffic to the net

I'm shocked at how the AVs have spiraled outta control
Obviously they miss O'Reilly & Stastny quite a bit

Apparently you are not ignoring mine either!!
If I was negative, it's because the Sabres record on Thursday nights were
something like 1-12 or something in that range.
I think I had a reason to be negative!
They end up winning the game, now I am positive!
According to yourself, this is a message board!
Enuff said.

I don't know man, I wanna believe this is the real him, I just severely doubt it.

Since he's scored his first goal, he's shooting at 14.8%.

I just highly doubt he's all the sudden twice the shooter he's been for the past 5 years.

I think he's playing really well, I just don't think this production continues

I don't think they're "tanking"
I think their spirit is broken...
At least outside a few guys like Landeskog
He played pretty well tonight

Whatever!
You were accusing me of being negative, and stated my
reason of why I was being negative.
And, FYI, I do know how this works.
Thanks anyway.

14.8% is obviously high
But he has a great shot
His talent says he should be shooting in double digits, not 7-8%

I know he's taking less shots...
and it looks to me that he's taking smarter ones
or at least not taking as many bad ones

Would u say that's accurate?

Idk...
agree to disagree I guess

It's not like they made moves last summer to make anyone think they were gonna tank, did they?
And there's no "McEichel" this year that's a franchise player

I just think they've had a perfect storm of suck
I don't think it was intended

I'd say that is accurate. But I can see him starting to shoot more or take worse shots when he stops getting puck luck and the goals stop coming for 4-5 games.

IMO he obviously wasn't as bad as his cold streak, and I don't think he's as good as his hot streak. Somewhere in the middle, that's hopefully good enough to land a good D man

IMO, they are tanking without making it so damned obvious like we did.

At this point...
I don't wanna trade him

I like the way he plays
And while I agree that he won't continue at 15%, I do think he should be in double digits with his skill
I get your fear that he'll revert back to taking stupid shots,
But I'm hopeful this success has caused him to realize not to

If we do keep him...
how do we get that defenseman though?

Normally, I'd say we won't be able to
But let's see if a Fasching + (or something like that) will be good enough to pry a good defenseman from a team that's about to get screwed by the expansion draft
I'm hoping we can take advantage of someone
We are in a good position to

I would trade him if we get more in value back.
No player is untouchable on this team beside #15.

Regardless of who they keep or trade, they absolutely can't go into next year with this blue line. Adding a rookie Guhle might make it worse until he's acclimated.

I wouldn't trade him until other options are exhausted

I'd add Risto to the untouchables list though too
And guys like Okposo & O'Reilly just won't be moved

Being able to twist his torso without pain and I'm not even being sarcastic.
- BeadyEyedDouche

He missed the net a lot last year though, before the rib injury. It seems like he's getting closer now….not shooting from the faceoff circles as much.
