Imagine a game 7 against Pitt and Shattenkirk scores the gwg against us. Then we sign him in the summer. - mdw7413
Like Hags only he was traded by Anaheim |

Penguins could easily put Maatta on IR to make cap space for Shatty, and then because no cap in playoffs, they could have both of them
they also have ALL their draft picks - jimbro83
Plus Ottawa's 5th in exchange Condon. |

really surprised Hags is having such a bad year, he only has a few more points than he totaled in the playoffs for them last year |

That's a bleak thought. Although draft picks don't mean squat to me this year. Huge drop off outside the top few and we'll be picking about 22nd or later.
I'd try our 2017 1st, 2018 2nd, and one or two of our top prospects. |

How long has it been since we saw Zib unload that shot of his on the PP? Can't blame his leg on that. I wouldn't mind getting Pirri back in the lineup, but how is the question of the week. The powerless play is just horrid. Rangers get 3x the scoring chances shorthanded vs the PP.

we got a leg up on Pittsburgh because our 2017 1st rounder should be a little better pick than Pittsburgh's. Unless we win the Cup. Which we will. |

As much as I have hated us giving up first every damn year this is suppose to be a weak draft so it may not be a bad idea to use it this year in an effort to get Shattenkirk. It may help in us signing him too. |

Yes, thank you, Doctor.
I didn't specify a grade 3 sprain. And a broken fibula is a little more severe than many other bones in terms of rehab time since it is a "load bearing bone", if you will. My point was that it may not be fair to Zib to say "well it's been 10 weeks, why aren't you playing like you did before?!?" - Tonybere
You're welcome... and I actually AM a Doctor... so there you go...
Although... you are wrong again... a Fibula is not a weight bearing bone. The Tibia is the weight bearing bone of the lower leg. The Fibula is a difficult break... but not a horrible one (I know as I have personally broken mine), the only exception being if their is a large displacement fracture. |

Well, that's rather definitive.
I've had those bones mixed up all these years. Thanks for the lesson. |

Solution to pp fix is most likely not on this roster. And you cant help but feel if they acquire someone it will be more of the same like with Yandle. Time for Arneil to take some heat for yr after of mediocrity on pp. - dman78
i completely agree. I cant remember the last time the rangers had a lethal PP throughout an entire season. The caps always seem to have a deadly PP - mostly due to OVI but still. no excuses. We have the talent, if CBJ can have a good PP with Torts as coach, we can too. |

If you knew for a fact you could sign Shattenkirk in the summer, would you still trade for him now? - mrhattrick27
yes, not sure i want Shatty for more than say 3 years. after that he is going to slow down big time. i think we have a team to compete this year. |
