Couldn't agree more bout Grabs give him shot on pp. As far as Nash goes you are correct he was a good last night and ive been hard on him for a long time but his real test will be in playoffs he has a good showing and scores some goals and people will lay off of him. Seems like Zibanejad has taken Nash's spot as team whipping boy and rightfully so IMO .was a bad injury he came back from but feel like he's had wnough time and games to get back in flow. |

Coming back from a broken leg is not like recovering from a sprain or a cut. He may very well not feel right until next season. Hopefully not, but expecting midseason form a month after not being able to put weight on your leg for quite some time is harsh.
Agreed Grabs deserves a shot on the PP. It may not suit his strengths to a T, but he has shown that he can get things done this season.
Maybe they can try throwing the puck in and letting him and Kreids use their speed to go retrieve it while the penalty killers stand up at the blue line. I've been calling for that for a while (albeit not on here). Can't stand this stupid back pass. |

They have been doing that back pass for awhile now. It really makes no sense whatsoever. So you have 1 guy coming in with speed while the other 4 players are pretty much at a dead stop. If the puck carrier tries to dump it in, its a free clear for the other team. What the (frank) ever happened to moving up the ice as a unit |

I'm not sure about Grabs on the PP, but we should be open to anything. I feel like most of Grabner's goals and players are generated off the rush and off his speed. You don't get a ton of goals like that on the PP because teams are sitting back and not getting caught by a breakout, they are more so done off of setup and plays inside the zone.
They definitely need to come up with some new ideas or personnel on the power play, I'm certainly in agreement with that. |

best game by the 4th line all year. maybe Fast and Lindberg read my comments on them yesterday??
if they play like that the rest of the year we have a decent 4 lines. for Zib i think we have to remember that he is still coming back from a horrific leg injury. i dont care what they say, there is no way he is remotely close to the shape he was in before the regular season. Zib is notorious for not being in great shape, that is the biggest knock on him. at times he looks like he is struggling to move out there, looks like his skates are in cement later in shifts where his conditioning would come into play.
on another note, boy do i love SKjei right now! holly cow has he progressed! only a few players i would trade him for right now. he looks like he will be McD 2.0 |

any chance Pirri gets another shot(pun intended)? Pirri is tied for the team lead with 5 PPGs, yet he hasnt played for a few games now. |

Only unless he sits Buch, or an injury. Buch would be the odd man out right now. |

Who does Pirri come in for though? All 12 forwards in front of him deserve to play |

he could switch Lindberg and Pirri, though after last nights game even i dont think thats a great move. that was Oscar's best game in a long time. good to see him with some hustle and puck possession. |

Yeah, no way I break up Lindberg and Fast. They got something going together. Saw it for the last few weeks. |

I was thoroughly impressed by that 4th line last night, especially Fast and Lindberg. Those two were all over the ice. If half of the forwards had given that much effort last night, would have been an easy win, but so be it, these are part of the ebbs and flows of the seaosn. Good to see them contribute, work hard and get rewarded. |

Honestly...
a break is often better to come back from compared to a grade 3 sprain. |

His skating tested better than in camp, he's been atrocious and it has nothing to do with his leg, if he's hurt then sit him, no excuses |

I just think you have to give credit to both goaltenders. They both played great. Only criticism I can really level at the team is the PP. It really was atrocious.
Think Jans blog was pretty spot on today.
Also whoever said last night they were nervous every time Weber wound up was right on.
Subban was a better skater and puck carrier, but Weber taking that shot from the point is frightening. |

The problem with Zibanejad isn't that he doesn't look right from a physical standpoint, it's that he's been terrible with the puck. Turnover machine, poor passing, not shooting when getting grade A opportunities. He's just been awful. Kreider hasn't been great either. Better than Zibanejad, but not by much. |

Why does every loss constitute saying there was no effort? It's such an insult. The opponent never gets credit for anything around here. I feel like I watch a different game every night.
The problom with this team right now is the Power play. You can dissect individual players, effort, defense, offense, coaching, etc. It's simply put, the power play sucks right now |

The Rangers picked up their game in OT, but so did the Habs. If the Rangers played with same effort they did last night as they did in the 1st and 3rd periods vs the Caps, they probably win. |

Yes, thank you, Doctor.
I didn't specify a grade 3 sprain. And a broken fibula is a little more severe than many other bones in terms of rehab time since it is a "load bearing bone", if you will. My point was that it may not be fair to Zib to say "well it's been 10 weeks, why aren't you playing like you did before?!?" |

I think there are some losses where the effort isnt there TJ, but last night wasn't one of them. |

If you thought we saw the same team last night as we did on Sunday than Idk what to tell you. Some players were good, Nash, Zucc, the 4th and Skjei. Obviouisly Lundqvist too. The rest of the Group were passengers last night. |
