I agree with what you are saying I just don't think thier style of play is why this team is going to finish bottom 5 in the NHL again, have spent to the cap again and have some of the fewest amount of picks come the draft.

This year after the expansion draft Canucks should move Tanev for a top 6 forward. So what if we lose next year. The drop off can't be too much further down.

They need players that can skate , shoot the puck and battle hard .

yea he get u the best return. likely a draft day trade tho thanks to expansion draft. Suburban has since changed his last name to Shinkaruk, awaiting a trade. wonder what he could fetch?

LE contract is buyout proof. He is paid in signing bonuses mostly. His salary is only 1-2 mil a yr and the remainder is signing bonuses.

Teams that can justify those types of contracts are the teams who need to add a few pieces to put them over the top and can risk sacrificing a couple of bad years at the end for the possibility of winning.
