But Gallant was fired for what??? Rowe is an absolute joke of a coach and should be fired after losing 3 at home in front of zero fans. This team is not going anywhere, Ekblad is overrated and Bjugstad is the biggest waste of talent in the entire NHL |

YOur defense of Rowe is comical. Who's paying you to say that garbage? The team is healthy won 5 in a row then lost 3 straight at home during a playoff push. Mind you again they are 100 percent healthy. It's all on the system he installed. The defense gives up the most odd man rushes I've ever seen. Please stop blogging. You haven't had a clue since the moment you started blogging about this Mickey Mouse franchise. |

Gotta agree with you especially about Ekblad and bjudstad. I'm not sure about Ekblad being overrated but he really is bad defensively. He has the worse +\- in the league expect for about 5 other dmen. And bjudstad is cannot play the wing. He is weak and soft on the boards and in the corners. He must play center to be effective and stay of the boards. And I have never seen anyone who can't stay on his skates as much as he. And much as I admire jagr, it's time to go. He can't stake, loses the puck too much and Rowe has his out on the ice too much |

Clueless blogger can say what he wants, Rowe sucks behind the bench. Points made in comments are fairly accurate. I'll add that Yandle is way over payed and without a doubt, for the first time in a long time, it's time to search for a new starter in net. It isn't Reimer, although he hasn't had a bad week. He's not the answer. |

I was so happy Campbell left because of that 7 million a year contract. Then comes Yandle. Can't agree more, he's way over paid. This team still needs a top line scorer, been saying it for years. Jokinen was the last point per game player to play in Florida. With as many high picks this franchise has had its shocking they have gone so long without one. Just goes to show you how clueless this organization is. This team will not make the playoffs and next year I don't see them making any progress considering it will be the same team and the goalie position is getting older. The defense is a joke and there is nothing to get excited about in the system. Borgstrim and Mascherin are the top guys but they are years away. AHL wise Hawluyk might be it but he can't stay healthy. Rowe ruined the team during the off season and he's continuing that trend as coach. Now Tallon has to pick up the pierces, hopefully bring in a veteran coach that actually has a defensive system or at least recognizes that it's apart of building a championship team. |

Hate to tell ya Reimer is your #1 goaltender. He is this season and he will be next season. Probably until Montembault is ready. |

Solid Post. Leon Draisaitl is the best player from the 2014 draft. |

I want to add that, since his baby has been born, James Reimer has been a solid goaltender. He's 12-8 with a .919 sv% and a 2.46 GAA; some solid numbers on a team playing WORTHLESS defense in front of him. I'm completely comfortable with him in net, I am NOT comfortable with the team in front of him right now. |

Not conclusive but you have a case. Too early to discredit Ekblad. Pastrnak, today, is the most dangerous forward of the draft. Nylander will be a contender as well. |

I've never seen so many angry people in a team's comments. Florida is incredibly well set up for the long term, as long as they can find a coach that will embrace the speed/skill/puck possession approach. |

Have no long term confidance in Reimer. |

We put McKegg, a good 4th line player on waivers and loose him. We call up Malgin, an offensive player who will be put on the 4th line. BRILLANT idea. |

As opposed to the slow/talentless/turnover approach of some other coaches? |

Well right now, they to be right in the middle of the pack. And I'm not seeing anything that's going seperate them from pack. See, people think the only thing that seperates the level of teams is talent. But everyone has talent (including the Panthers), it's a whole of other things as well that go into becoming a top contender. Generally you start working on those things at the start of a rebuild, and on them all the way through. What made the Panthers special was theywere a defence first team, which was the type of players they had, which was type of team Tallon had been building. Even if they played thenew system to perfection, that's not going to seperate them from the pact, ecery other team is playing the same way, that's not going to make the Panthers special. |
