It sounds like he's going pro regardless if you listen to the people on UND. - boonerbuck
The fact that UND has had a disappointing season doesn't hurt. |

It would be nice... but the better choice would be to play him in Utica *if* they are going to the playoffs... - boonerbuck
That works |

Impressed with JB so far this TDL. Talk about a message being sent to Virtanen as well. …cupboards are filling up…time to lay off the teen burgers JV |

They could have him play in Utica and burn a year, couldn't they? |

The amount of trades so far has been surprising to me.
I'm cautiously optimistic that we can move Miller.
Hopefully Sbisa too.
Anyone got any sense on if we make any more moves? |

I don't have a problem if they burn a year - VANTEL
why would u want them to burn a year? NO way.
unfortunately, you wanna get those NCAA players signed asap to avoid being Vesey'd. So, we just might see him by years end.
If its the Werenski route, where he plays in the AHL. I'd be all for it. You can always stream Comets games. Altho, Werenski went to Lake Erie cause CBJ was out of the playoffs and LE had a chance to go on a run. Which they did, and won it all. |

If Benning is thinking of exploring that tactic, it will be after next season when the Sedins retire. This is why I keep reminding Lefty about patience. I see where this is going... Gillis and owner were who set the date on the rebuild...
- boonerbuck
Nah, I think it can happen any time now. "Going for it" next year just puts this team back in the same spot it was last summer and the summer before.
The Twins aren't dumb. They know where the team is, and its better to embrace that than pretend they're going to make the playoffs with PP specialist Jason Megna.
Tbh, it wouldn't shock me if the Twins are traded before free agency, depending on what happens at the draft. It would surprise me, but not shock levels. Nashville needs a second line. Retain some salary and you could make it work in Montreal where they don't have a second line either. |

2 big holes in the lockerroom for sure.
I was thinking today...who is going to give the high-fives at the bench after a team win?
Then i thought it might not be a situation we face very often for the next 20 games.

Burrows is tough for sentimental reasons, Hansen is tough because he still has a ton of game left. But we gotta stock the pantry. |

Maybe.
If its Miller, it won't be for much. From the sounds of it only San Jose is on his list and I feel they're more content trying to grab a backup like Nilsson or a salary retained Halak.
I said it before and I'll say it again for Sbisa, GMs/coaches get dopey this time of year and can be tricked into paying for bottom pairing Dmen who make "safe" plays, rim the puck around the boards and have a bit of size. |

Hansen could turn into Chris Higgins any day now. Avoiding that is a job well done. If you're not going anywhere, guys "in their prime" don't have a ton of use.
If there wasn't spare parts and developing kids making up the rest of the blueline, I could easily see Edler and Tanev being shopped. Their value won't be much, if any, better by the time the Canucks are back on the upswing. But without someone who can actually play minutes against top comp to avoid feeding kids to the wolves, it won't happen. |

Could easily see a "bust" prospect swap if Benning can get over the sentimentality of it being his guy.
Virtanen for Lazar kind of thing. |
