I'm saying this team f@cking sucks
up front, the lines are a mess
ror and okposo are not first line players
eichel is turning into a jeff carter so he needs play making wingers
with the current lineup, the only way to win IMO is to play a fast pace game rolling 3 lines and most of our speed is buried in rochester or on the 4th line (bailey, baptiste, fasching, nylander, e rod)
gorges, kulikov and bogo is a joke
our goalie sucks in shootouts
our pk is pathetic
we have less chemistry than a north korea rocket
the pipeline is ok, but right now there is next to no way to allow kids to move up
the contracts of ennis, bogo, moulson cripple this team short term
the owner just sits back while we watch 2 teams embarrass the city and does nothing with gm's
as of now, this rebuild is NOT going to be finished in 2 years, making okposo and ror that much older when it is finished
I find little hope that just a coach can fix this
the team has no chemistry and it's murray's team - homiedclown
We have effectively wasted 2 years of Murray's 3 Big acquisitions in ROR, Kane and Lehner. And a year of Okposo, who at almost 29 isn't going to get better.

if asplund is not a 40 point player in the nhl, and soon
the pysyk trade will haunt us more IMO than the mcnabb trade - homiedclown
Agreed. A lot of people like to attribute the Pysyk trade needing to be done so we could have moved up to pick Asplund. But, it was only 5 spots in the 2nd round, we could have given a 3rd to Florida to move up 5 spots and still kept Pysyk, who was an RFA and on a cheap contract. We put five years of development into the guy and then kick him to the curb just as soon as he starts to contribute.
On a side note: The guy Florida picked at #38 is 3rd in points in the OHL this year.

Inside the Sabres: Vegas will roll the expansion dice on ...
Carrier gets the last spot over Girgensons based on potential. He’s shown speed and physicality. The 22-year-old definitely needs to increase his production, but the tools seem there.
Girgensons is a former first-round pick who has scored 15 goals, and he’s only 23. His numbers have plummeted, however, and he’s behind Eichel, O’Reilly and Larsson on the list of centers.................
We’ll guess the Golden Knights pluck Ullmark from the Sabres and hope he blooms in the desert.
Murray murdered two hookers last night.
Byslma fornicated with the Pope.
Pegula caused climate change.
The equipment guy gave me a broken stick.
Chilliard has a man bun

Kulikov was better in Florida than Pysyk was in Buffalo. Kulikov really never got time to prove himself and when he was healthy we were tanking. He won't resign here but I bet where ever he goes he will be a top 4

I thought we'd at least get a 2nd for him at the deadline. Add another tally to Murray's fail chart
I was going to ask what did I miss last night but based on the game result, looks like a hell of a lot of nothing.
I do love the quote below from Lehner.
“We don't go out and deserve it. You can't wait for them to score the first goal and then wake up. It's not how the game is played,” said Lehner. “This is a business. You've got to come out and play otherwise you get replaced, simple. It doesn't matter whether we're in or out right now, everyone needs to be playing for their jobs. It's not a privilege to play in this league. You've got to earn it.”

I don't disagree with this opinion, but from our standpoint, we got jack squat in the trade. I know nobody could have foreseen Kuli getting hurt the way he did, but we still trade a an RFA, who was by in no means bad, for a guy with one year left on his deal. And now, he wants to get the hell out of here, and we couldn't even get anything for him at the deadline. This ended up being a bad deal for us all the way around.

murray had 2 and a half years to see what he had in pysyk
you have to question his player assessment right now
kulikov on his best day looks like a #5 d man
kulikov
pysyk
grant
karabacek
kasdorf
etc
he has some big time clunkers and I have yet to see a trade where he won it lopsided

And a fantastic playoffs for Florida. That's what caught GMTM's eye
