He looked very good in the Islanders series last year. A beast at times. I believe thats what caught GMTM's eye. We were SUPPOSED to be a playoff team this year.

Two years in a row of waiting to the last minute, hoping to up the value of his players. I would hope he's learned his lesson. If you have players to sell, be first to sell and set the market. Arizona has been doing that and walking away a much richer team.

Agree 100%. I strongly GMTM waited too long to pull the trigger on them. I'm possitive he got calls and held out for 2nd or 3rds. He did say "I was not in the market of giving away players for nothing" but isn't something better thank nothing?

It does look like fun, but I don't know about snow, though... snow can pack a punch. Youtube has videos of trains going through tracks flooded over by rainwater and that sure looks fun on a hot summer day.

Yeah, but he did a lot that first year and still got a return for those guys albeit last minute. He did set the market on trades with the miller/ott trade coming 10 days before the deadline, and I think that was his best deal as our GM. So, again, early bird gets the worm and the most in return for expiring UFAs--Don't wait, trade first.
