Buffalo did this ...
I think I just got your joke

......When?
Sorry but looking through their draft history, it doesn't look like it.
I mean, Pysyk, Zadorov and Risto maybe... but it's pretty barren. |

When we had Myers, Risto, Zadorov, McCabe, Pysyk, McNabb we thought we were so set on defense. #Whoops |

Ah.
Well, I mean, McNabb sucks. McCabe is fine. Risto needs work but could be really good.
Pysyk is pretty average. Zadorov hasn't been close to what I expected. |

I disagree on McNabb, he's decent. But it was the perspective at the time, we thought we were the next Nashville |

Just not a fan. Especially being that he's 26.
I dunno. Tim Murray did a masterful job of tearing this team apart and getting top value while tanking.
The job he's done building it up, though, has been atrocious. |

interesting video of the CJ kid over on Garths blog... Maybe he will turn into something. 125 point in 120 games on one of the best collage hockey teams hopefully helps. Nice get by the sabres. |

What's the deal on Slavin? When he and Pesce came in I thought they would be good top 6-ers, but Slavin has really risen up. Is he a legit top 2? |

He's the best D on the team. Easily. He's better than Faulk. He just seems to be a step ahead of everyone out there defensively. Better at getting the puck away from attackers than any D I've ever seen.
Pesce, meanwhile, has better underlying numbers than Slavin, which is surprising.
I figured Pesce could be expendable because of his skating but he kicked it up a notch this offseason.
Assuming they don't make the playoffs, Team USA's D for the World Championships could actually include all 4.
Slavin - Faulk

Nah. Hasn't regressed, just hasn't gotten any better.
He's a really good player in his own right, just different. Kind of like comparing a cannon to a sword.
The cannon is going to look more impressive, but the sword is more effective all around. |

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.
If any of this is true it would mean that the General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres is NOT a completely incompetent BOOB, and that the incessant criticism of his trades by some the most regular posters on this page is unfair and inaccurate.
What kind of evil trick are you trying to play, here. |

I blame EA sports. It seems we think every GM has a sliding scale of value on the trades and that every aspect of a players ability can be rated 0 to 99.
We tend to move the scale closer to 99 more often than we think. See Tyler Myers. |

The kid is willing the team to victories. |

He isn't that bad . Players are still developing . Not too many 2nd -3rd and 4th rounders play right after being drafted. |

Terry Pegula: Buys the Buffalo Bills so they won't have to relocate "No team and their fans should have to go through that."
Also Terry Pegula: "I voted in favor of the Raiders moving from Oakland to Las Vegas."
