At the same point, punishment vs shaming is a real issue here. Sitting a game I'm all for if he was late, but broadcasting him sitting dressed on the bench is a bad look. I'd be embarrassed not motivated by that.
the 20-player thing came into play...not sure if they had anyone else to dress...maybe fedun if he's recovered form injury and have a d-man, maybe McCabe or even fedun, play on the fourth line...

Didn't the Devils have to dress 19 players for 2 games a while back because of cap issues? If so, why couldn't the Sabres do the same?

I dont like Harrington but the reality is that a whole lot of people here are freaking the fk out over nothing. May be I would have considered scratching him Thursday and letting him know that was the plan due to the unique situation.
But either way, the dude broke a new rule within a day after it was established.

At the very least this is true. I worry that if the 1st part is true too that we should be finding a new bench boss. Strong message though for sure either way.

I don't know why people are so upset about this. I could understand if we were in the hunt and this hurt their chances of making the playoffs, but they're not in the playoff race, so why does it matter?
