I pray for people of flatulence dude.
Saying pray for him and his family is a product of being in the ICU. I haven't seen too may people admitted for flatulence, though Taco Bell might have something to say about that.
Other than misrepresenting me, a tiny bit, I agree in part with this statement. - gcomella34
And there it is. Petersen hope extinguished again. Thanks for this though 24. - RhinoFan
Nothing happened to Lehner, well at least it's not online yet, unless google is lying again, like it did about the TDL. Broads is just being an bumhole.
Andersen >>> Lehner. The numbers don't tell the whole story. I watched Andersen with the Ducks a lot, and he is a really really good goalie. - chilliard77
Bottom line is he lets in more goals than the terrible Lehner, and on a better team.
I dont know if he is going to sign his ELC after the finals or not since it didnt seem like the Avs had any interest in him for years before this season.
THey said they are going to offer him a contract....not sure if he still wants to be in Denver after winning and probably could hand pick a team as a UFA.
Hes good, but not that good to be able to do that but it always seems like teams go crazy when kids like this are exploring "UFA" out of the NCAA - DDM-Coga
cap world you're always trying to find ways to add more assets without giving up too much. College FA's are perfect in that regard cause you take on virtually zero risk vs what the reward could be.
Plus its a more "developed" prospect if that makes sense. It'll usually be a 22-24 year old so if the team signing him is right in thinking that he is that good he wont need much time or development before he can make an impact at the nhl level.

And what did the Leafs give up for Andersen again? Oh, right, a 1st AND a 2nd. - Wetbandit1
Anderson was way more established coming off 3 great seasons but Lehner is having a better season this year, his SV% is better but the GAA is about the same.
I still think you don't give up a 1st for a goalie. Hows that working out for Colorado and New Jersey? Right.

That and the 21st pick in 2015>>>>>>>>>30th in 2016 and 2nd in this weak draft

for a time there i think schneider was worth that pick. Problem was they put the cart before the horse.
virtually no talent in front of him so it didnt really matter.

Oh, 9 whole spots, plus a 2nd rounder which is another lottery ticket. It's at least the same value. My point is everyone's creaming their pants over how good Andersen is, but the numbers don't bear that out.

9 spots, in a weaker draft. Andersen was a 16 pick, not 2015
Not given his play this year. Anaheim is like LA every goalie looks great there. But put them on an average defensive team and they're, well, average. - Wetbandit1
Andersen had a rough start but he's a large reason why the Leafs are in the playoffs right now

it worked out great to begin with. Varly was steady enough to help out early, they had 0 young goalies in the pipeline so they needed to take a shot.
Varly got the team to playoffs in that miracle 2013 run when he was posting a .930 save percentage. Most fun I had as an Avs fan in a long time.
This is this make our break season for Varly. He finally got his surgery to fix his issues that has plagued him the past 2 seasons. If hes back to 2013 form then still worth it. If hes just run of the mill, stings looking back in hindsight

And that weird ass legal case finally got put to bed too, that had to be hanging over his head, knowing he didn't do anything wrong, but being labeled an abuser.
Edit: Didn't do anything illegal. I'm sure he did some wrong.

I've been debating whether Colorado should protect him in the expansion draft or not. He had a baaadd year this year

Andersen has the exact same 5 on 5 sv%, and a better high danger sv%.
