Well I'm wondering if he would be able to officially retire and take the contract off the books completely. Isn't Pronger's situation only the way it is because it circumvented the cap and would have caused a recapture penalty?

I will legitly be heartbroken I hated on this dude when he was with the Islanders but I grew to love him this year he won my respect ..
