If Halak didn't have such an injury history, they wouldn't have brought in a 3rd goalie in the first place. This isn't why we missed the playoffs btw. Still more of the blame goes on Snow for not pulling the trigger on Cappy sooner.

Your argument is futile because Berube saw no games for 3/4 of the season. I agree that he was insurance, but it was a panic move, and over managing if you ask me. Because in doing so, he alienated his starter, banished him, and then came calling on him when he the team could have possibly made the 8th seed. Total mismanagement

I get the injury concern with Halak, but it went on for far too long. If Halak gets hurt you have to bring up a goalie from the minors or trade for one. You still have Greiss.

Well, maybe his "starter" should've grown a pair and dealt with it. He's making over 4 mil to perform. Put up or shut up.

29 other teams call up a goalie, or trade for one if need be. Snows idea of protection was holding a third goalie who saw zero action?? Yeah, cause after playing zero games, Berube is gonna be that hot back up they needed. Please.....gimme a break.

But the more Greiss plays, the more he falters. Biggest issue is need of a workhorse goalie regarding this entire situation.

Whats funny, is at first i might have agreed with this sentiment, except for the fact that as a pro athlete something called practice matters. WHen thats comprimised its not about putting up or shutting up........its about not properly being able to prepare for the games. Sports arent played on paper....

lets not forget he wasted a roster spot 3/4 of the year, and that meant 2 players were guaranteed to sit every game

Berube actually wasn't so bad in 2015-16 whenever he got his chances. His one hiccup was vs. Pittsburgh in April 2016. Otherwise, if you take that game out, his save % was fine. He simply dropped the ball THIS year though.

Prince, Quine and Strome were like a revolving door. To me its a no brainer.......how he's arguing for the 3 goalie rotation is beyond me.

It made no sense because sitting for almost two years made Berube and probably most goalies worthless. I do not blame Berube at all for his performance. It's no way to develop a goalie or any young player.

Greiss - the savior of last year's playoffs - made the most of his situation and didn't complain about it. Why only Jaro?

I'm willing to roll the dice on him.

I don't think there are a ton of great options out there and I'm extremely gun-shy on giving the job to another first-time-GM/President.

He didnt phucking play this year bro. Patrick Roy would have a hard time performing if he didnt play a single game 3/4 of the season. C'mon man.

Greiss became a "starting goalie" with the isles and got paid finally. He did what was best for his pocket. Halak was brought in as a starter, and is a respected goalie in the NHL. Greiss was a journeyman back up before coming to the isles.

I think the lousy Isles team D was more of an issue. A third goalie who never plays is not going to be a good option. You are better off with a goalie from Bridge who at least is getting in games in the minors or you trade for another goalie.

Its no different than having Nino of the 4th line, or sitting Barzal for 9 games.......total mismanagement.

The last thing the Isles need is another 1st year GM. Lombardi has to be the #1 choice.

Comparing the games he started last year to this year. That's all I did. Again, THAT'S ALL I DID. He made the most of his situation last year, but didn't this year.

When Halak was banished to the minors, i think he was the best goalie in the minors. His groin was just fine....

I dont even know your point at this point. Honestly i dont.

If you have a third goalie, and he's "insurance" if he doesnt play, and is taking practice time away from a goalie who will be playing, thats not insurance. You're better off trading for a back up if need be, if Halak got hurt.

Jaro deserves some of the blame for sure but the reality is he was right. There is a reason NOBODY in the nhl carries 3 goalies. Snow got his feeling hurt and like with Nino once you call out that shat bag for being clueless he gets rid of you. The only reason Halak got called up was because he had no choice and had to call him up. Once again Snow put his personal grudges above what's best for the franchise. There is no debating that no matter how much you want to for some reason. Its right there in front of you not once but twice he has done it. GTFO now Snow you're done
