unfortunately from Vancouver all I can do is refuse to buy the center ice package next season. 37 years of following this team through milbury and wang and this is the most disappointing season I can remember.

I won't be following them next season if everything stays the same.

Absolutely right, Dan. I said about the owners back in November, all Ledecky did was talk. Blowing smoke up everyone's ass. I said it back then, I didn't want to hear anything, I just wanted to see action taken. And it never happened. I still think the only reason Snow canned Zippy the chimp was because he threw him under the bus about KO and Frans.

How can anyone spend that kind of money on a team and not fire Snow after this season?

Two things he was willing to state unequivocally: He would like to have coach Doug Weight back, and, again, he really, truly likes it here.

If Tavares wants Weight back, are you OK with it?

No, not really. Weight isn't even sure he wants the job. The PP was horrible. Weight is light years ahead of Crappy, but I think the team needs a complete shake up and culture change.

I would imagine that the Islanders would be taking a major risk by getting rid of a guy that Tavares really wants behind the bench. I don't disagree with your sentiment, but I'd be afraid that it would push Tavares away.

Maybe. They just had their exit interviews and they missed the playoffs by one point. Emotions run high and Tavares has always appeared to be a very loyal guy. I could imagine him being okay with a different proven coach and Dougie moving upstairs in some capacity.

If Snow is staying then let Weight be the coach because nothing will change until he's gone.

I want Snow gone more than Weight gone. As I stated previously, if the Isles could find a decent assistant coach to totally revamp the power play, I'd be ok with Weight staying on. I think he has handled the head coaching responsibilities better than he handled the assistant coaching/power play responsibilities.

I guess we'll have to wait to see what Doug wants to do. He never really hid the fact that he wasn't totally sure he wanted the job long-term, so it's entirely plausible that he may not even want to coach them next season and beyond.

I just don't see how Snow isn't fired. It absolutly boggles my mind ! IF we all knew that Cappy was the problem behind the bench, and should always been fired years ago, which turned out to be true, how can L&M not see it ??? Fire him now, get your ducks in order before the draft. It's not that hard, is it ?

I suspect that L&M don't want to fire Snow before they have a replacement. Now you could argue, "Well, what the hell have they been doing the past 6 months?" And I would have no rebuttal...

I can give a shat what Tavres wants . I want what is best for the team and that doesn't include Weight as coach or Snow as GM.

We have no other choice.

I started watching Narcos. I don't know how much of it is true, but it's nuts! Maybe I should've gone into the drug business so I could've bought the Isles.

Am told Kings will have a "significant" announcement shortly.

JT has more issues with this team to worry about before he needs to worry about who's behind the bench.

Great job Dan! It is tough for anyone to lose their job, but sports is a different animal. You know going in you are hired to be fired. Garth has had 11 years and more than enough time to get it right. He cannot say a word if he is let go.

I think Lombardi might be going. Could be Sutter too, unless it's him "retiring".

I'm not really ok with it chief. Weight and Garth back is not change. I posted earlier Weight better have a stud defensive coach if he returns. He better have a great staff all together.

I could see this. He's been there a long time, they have had success in the past but the last 3 years have not been good so, yeah makes sense. If it does happen make sure the Islanders give Sutter a call.
