Getting the full context out of Twitter is not my strong suit.

If you follow along Chris Ostrander from Trending Buffalo (@2ITB_Buffalo, good follow imo) argues with him a bunch. Pretty funny.

Meh, I could tell at his presser he was just happy about the money. It's hard not to be. I wouldn't read to much into this. Bucky acts like he's shocking the world with this one.

I think Cups trump everything else Neegan
- Matthews_Auston

It's just he's basically the GM Murray was trying to be. Better, but not sure if he's the right fit. I wanted Murray gone because I didn't want to be a 2012 Kings knockoff, and Lombardi may bring us to that same result. I'd much rather have him as President.

More about what Yost said, if we traded Risto for a boatload and in the process fixed the defense. I wouldn't be all that mad.

Agreed. On the surface, Botterill or MacIver sound good to me

building on that, i wouldnt be opposed to them re-tooling (shedding some cap/dead weight) and going after it in the 18 off-season.

Ill take one more year of "misery" over 5 years of patch work.

I think all this is true, but what I'm more concerned with is that we very well could have given up a future top 6 winger, center, goalie etc in all these deals that included futures.

Too early to tell, while we still aren't sniffing the playoffs.

Bulldog actually said it best yesterday, with all the picks/prospects we had, we should have had "waves of prospects" flooding the Sabres for a few years in a row. And if you hit on a few, you're golden, especially with the cap

- sbroads24

no denying that...but, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush...unfortunately, all of Murray's birds crapped in his hand...including big bird bylsma

Okposo never struck me as a guy who care more about contract than winning. Sure he took a big contract, just like all FAs do because why wouldn't you.

Anyway, I was more piling onto the fact that TBN guys suck and their takes are always bad like this one.

I don't see next year as a big jump, I see it as a year to get back on the right track. But we'll see how this offseason goes and the direction we're heading.

And we all know you just want Dahlin

calling him seabrook isnt a negative, seabrook in his prime before his awful contract probably would have gotten a boatload.

The real worry would be him going dougie hamilton on us. There's a lot of talent there, keep him reduce his mins and change his role to more offensive and i think he'll be great.

Well the general league perception probably values him higher than he is. And being described as a "Seabrook type" doesn't sound like a bad thing to me

christ im more obvious than gerbe now

but yea i agree i think a year to get back on track is what they need. new coach new philosophy etc. if it works right away great if not we get a really good pick and some exciting hockey.
