Way over the top review to losing 5-4 ..almost a conspiracy theory review...
maybe it was the quality of the toilet paper used .....
Cmon..can u spell H AN K ...he spit the bit ,choked when we needed NOt a super human effort but a real good one....
1st goal with all momentum on our side he pushes a puck to the corner to the Ott player ..O K shot comes in and HANK swallows it for a face off...NOOOOO
he bobbles & drops puck right in front and puck luck kick & BANG in the net ...
Different gm from there ...
2nd goal ..legit Vesey misses the wing and goes to the puck on the changes
BANG in the Net .. NOT Hanks fault BUT what was his % on shots he can see
3rd goal ;Excuse me ...didnt look ready for a semi screened re directed shot He's upright ,stick at side not in defensive posture protecting the puck coming towards net ...
4th goal . Cmon.. how many combos of players have we seen blow it and not protect lead ... rediculous to point out Staal is on the ice ? they have all been on the ice it still happens and this one HANK coulda got... as puck was coming off Smiths skate ,Hanks glove gets to it but he misses it and it trickles over the line.....
game winner : % of shots seen & stopped was blown tonite .... right thru him
I guessed he was elevating puck .... Turris said he almost flubbed it ...5 hole ?
Gms 3 & 4 team won not HANK .. If Hank dosnt find it or play better than ANderson ... we will lose it maybe not home ...expect big effort ... but thurs
in Ott. Cmon HANK you are the one variable we didnt thinkwould come into play

Lundqvist is the Moe Green of the NHL. He's unlucky, and in the playoffs, no matter how good you are, luck plays a huge roll in winning.
For those clammoring for AV's dismissal, forget it, not gonna happen, just signed an extension. Even though his bench management is awful in the 5 minutes of games.
Been watching this team for a long, long time. Nothing they do or don't do surprises me anymore. Wouldn't be shocked if they came back to win series, nor would I be surprised if they go down the tubes tomorrow.
In the end, I have to agree with the notion that a loss to the Sens would go down as one of the biggest playoff loss in team history.

Yea there is no way AV is going anywhere. It's not like last year when they were getting embarrassed by Pitt. They beat Montreal and were a few heartbreaks away from already winning this series. Like you say sometimes luck wins out in the playoffs |

I agree, no way AV goes, no matter how horrid tomorrow night can end up & off of the puzzling moves again in these house of horrors losses in Ottawa. If we lose this series that is gonna be 1 building we are gonna dread going into next yr & beyond. |

It's just crazy to have two goal leads in basically every game there and just can't hold it |

I keep thinking back to 94', when for once they had all the luck
Matthau not once, but twice on goal mouth scrambles. Mika Ricter playoff of a lifetime, the unconscious save on Nill Guerin in game 6 with the Devils already up 2-1.And last but not least, Nathan Lafayette goal post with under a ,Knute left in game seven.
I'm afraid, it's true, the margin between winning and losing a series usually comes down to the lucky bounce or goal post. If not, we would be waiting 77 years. |

C'mon guys. Luck has nothing to do with it. "Luck" is an excuse people make when the team gets ouotworked and the fans don't want to admit to their team's mistakes and credit the other team for their own hard work.
Ottawa got "Lucky" because when their backs were against the wall, they threw everything they could at the net, crashed and outworked the Rangers.
The Rangers were "unlucky" because they played a passive defensive game and tried to sit back and take shot after shot after shot hoping none of them would go in.
Teams that work hard and grind wind up getting the so called "puck luck". |

Spell check went out on this one?
Good point about us having the puck luck that yr. How about in the double OT Game 7 just a min or so before the big Matteau goal there's the crazy loose puck that got kicked in front of Richter? For a good 2/3 seconds my heart stopped & I was sure that puck was rolling in. |

Sorry man, luck def does play into it, in all sports. Can't really be disputed.
How else can you explain the football Giants twice in a 4 yr span having a miraculous flukey run with eerily similar results in both those postseasons. Takes NOTHING away from them winning those 2 SB's at all, they 100% earned them, but there was 100% luck involved in a lot of what happened those years. |

We can agree to disagree. David Tyree wanted that ball more than Harrison. Eli ran for his life with desperation to get out of the pocket. The Giants D-Line was pissed at being told that they were good enough to stop Tom Brady and they played like rabid dogs all game. You create your own opportunities in life. Unless you believe god is a Giants fan, but some obnoxious Cowboy fans will tell you differently..lol |

Well watching the replay of the tying goal on Saturday where the puck ping ponged off of 4 people before it went in....I call that a bit lucky |

You gotta crash the net to get that opportunity though right?
Unfortunately our Rangers haven't done the same in front of Anderson this series with ANY consistency. |

I'm guessing he hasn't looked at Hank's stats this postseason.
Coming into the playoffs the big question was which Hank shows up, If you gave us all his numbers thus far, you would take it in a heartbeat..

NYR finds ways to lose, but tying goal bounced off 4 Ranger players. If series is lost, won't blame it on bad luck, but luck/unlucky definately plays a role. The key for NYR is to stop taking foot of the pedal and not put themselves in situations were unlucky bounces can occur. |

I'll tell ya right now this series is going back to OTT
I also have this feeling that if we had won Saturday, the Sens woulda taken it to game 7, so if you wanna try and be positive, we're gunna be the upbeat ones heading into Thursday |

I agree that AV isn't going anywhere, but god almighty get rid of Arniel and get somebody to run a real power play. 3 for 35. Even if they had an average power play this series is over. Year after year after year we complain about this, and it never changes. |

I can buy into that!
Edit: They have definitely been the better of the two teams, the problem is they aren't playing a 60 minute game and that has cost them dearly twice.
They need to play the same way for 120 straight minutes over the next two games |

I feel same way, but this giving away leads in last few minutes is infuriating. It would be nice if once in a while NYR forced a game to OT |
