Great comment Jan! - smellmyfinger
like i said ..A V has tried many combos on the ice ... for what ever reason
luck or structure ..we spit out 2 goal lead s& cant close games
I M O mental..players tighten up ,stiffen over or under react ..I D K
I agree with Jan on its more than a coincidence or puck luck its a
metal block having to finish ..HANK has it as bad as any if them
SOOO lets get back to 4-1 tues & pray we can snap it like a bad habit in gm 7 |

I think it was good for Stepan to say it and for Hank to hear it. They are both leaders on that team and both should be able to tell the other to calm the (frank) down - mrn22
Guess I put too much into it

I'll say this much, I think at an aggregate level the Rangers have been the better team this series and might still come out on top. Games 3 and 4 were an absolute joke for the Sens. Whether you attribute that to a lack of effort by the Sens, an increased effort by the Rangers, or a combo of both, the result is the same.
I didn't think the Rangers were really scary in any of the other three games though. In 3 and 4 I felt hopeless by a certain point, but I never got that way in the three Ottawa won (okay, maybe a bit there near the end of Game 2 before the Pageau heroics). In those, the Sens looked as good (or bad) as they have all year when they pushed out their one goal wins, and that's what they did. If you don't watch them a lot, you'll chalk it up to luck, but I think the overall trend speaks to something more than just that.
The Sens have played the close game all season. If they win, unless there is an empty netter, I expect it to be by one goal. They'll lose that way too sometimes. When I see scores outside of that range, win or lose, it's because one of the teams played like crap. That's what happened in 3 and 4 when the Sens just deflated.
Hoping to see another good one Tuesday! And if it comes back to Ottawa, I'll be there to go down with the ship or ride it into the ECF. |

Thought the same thing had way to much room but it's hard to keep a great player down all series even if he's hurt. |

At least it seems AV has been a more competent coach at home in this series. Hopefully Miller and the rest of the no shows finally decide to show up. You know Hank will be in a pissed off mood and bring his A game. |

Hank and Zucc are the only two I'm 100% sure will be ready, I expect reliable games from Lindberg, Fast and Grabner but the rest is a crap shoot, I've lost all hope in Miller and Hayes finding their game, outside of one game this series Nash ahs been pretty average |

Agreed and Nash is not a favorite of mine but he's played better this playoffs but how many more times is this guy gonna have game on his stick in ot or late in a game and miss the net or hit the post or hit player doing a desperation dive in front of net if it's all about puck luck like a lot of people think then he has absolutely zero of it. |

BTW in the final 2 minutes I'm going Nash-Ziba-Grabner with Mac and either Smith or Skjei, probably Smith though |

This team does not learn from it's mistakes. 3 Times they blow a lead late in the 3rd and lose in OT. Sorry boys but this team is fried. |

You may be right but would it really surprise you if they force a game 7? Iafter that who knows if they do lose it will be another gut wrenching loss that I'm pretty sure of . |

I don't think anyone needs to tell Stepan to calm down. I've seen the guy show emotion 3x his entire career. Maybe he should try showing emotion sometimes. |

I knew we should have traded him for McDavid. I have been telling you guys that McDavid is the exact type of player we need, but none of you will listen. Well, whose laughing now? If you had all just listened to me, we could have had McDavid.

I would have settled for Draisaitl. It's funny though. Last year when I was saying McD for Draisaitl everyone laughed and said he's unproven blah blah, I'm an idiot for wanting Draisaitl blah blah. |

OMG, the Oilers weren't trading Hall and Draisaitl in the same summer
just like the Rangers weren't trading Stepan and Brassard in the same summer |

I think the most annoying thing in the history of this blog, I've been around here for 10 years, is nyr32793987654919's trade proposals.
There's been nothing even remotely close to it. |
