It was a good, tight playoff series. The Blues are a tough team, and neither team got a ton of production from their top forwards. A few bounces, or a few breakdowns & this series could've gone the other way very easily. A few bounces or Jake Allen miscues & the Preds could've run away with it. Funny how the playoffs are such a razor's edge.

Either WCF matchup would be intriguing. Anaheim is almost a combo of St. Louis & Chicago - balancing size, speed, skill & experience. The Preds traded blowouts with Anaheim early in the season & then lost in a Shootout later.

Edmonton is a different kind of team, but will present a number of matchup challenges. The Preds were 3-0 against Edmonton this season, but I wouldn't put much stock in that. Still, Edmonton hasn't faced a defense in Calgary or Anaheim that is as good as Nashville.

Will be good for the Preds to have a couple of days to rest & heal up from a tough series. It only gets tougher from here. I'm hoping for a quadruple-OT thriller in the Ducks/Oilers game 7 on Wednesday & then an early Friday start time for the WCF. That would be ideal!!!!

Oilers are likely a better match up but be careful what we wish for. Scary how good they were in the first last night

What a great series win! To sweep Chicago then take out the Blues has just been awesome.

Congrats on advancing. I guess my only question is how a team can barely make the playoffs and then play lights out? Realistically the Preds are a 15th or 16th overall seed. Actually, the NHL allows probably 8 teams too many in the playoffs. It's getting to the point of why play a regular season if teams just turn it on come playoff time?

Anyway, hoping for an Edmonton/Nashville conference final. I think that would be really fun hockey to watch....as long as Nashville does not play that trap defense where teams have to dump and chase. That's like 1970's hockey. And yes, I am a BlackHawks fan.

I wouldn't say barely making the playoffs. This team was built for the playoff run and we are playing our best hockey at the right time. Take out the overtime and shootout losses and this team was as good as any in the regular season.

We can play any style, no worries there.

I want the Ducks. I want no part of McDavid or Lucic. Edmonton has the same mojo going right now as the Preds do. Also, Gibson has been average, at best, in net and I think our speed would be a problem for them.

CONGRATULATIONS!

You play extremely well. I still say as you saw after the Blues scored first, the team was tight. Against a better team that could be huge hole for you. Stay like you are trust what you are....

Very little adversity so far, Fiala was a big loss.... but how will you respond should you go down a game or two....

For me Preds vs Oilers would be a great series of two NEW BLOODS! Your defense and their speed.....

Good Luck be Proud

Love that Ellis kid!

Would love to get the Oilers. Not because I think they aren't as good, but more that I love their style and would be great hockey to watch.

Throw in their history, being from Canada, could be fun.

I like our playoff experience, defense, and goal tending versus the oilers instead of the Ducks.

I don't like the 10:00 or 10:30 EST start times

looking at last season's WCF, start times were 7pm central for games in St. Louis and 8pm or 6:15pm central for games in San Jose.

Congrats on the series win.

I was pumped in the 1st period, I thought for sure that the Blues were coming home for a game 7. That was a nice response from your team to pull ahead and close us out.

Nashville people are (frank)ing amazing. They'll out drink you and not be twats in the process like some Blackhawk fans.

No matter the matchup for next round, it is going to be a tough matchup. That's how it works. Each round is harder than the last.
