Just shocked the Preds were able to reach the Finals with known distraction, PK Subban - PhillySportsGuy
It is funnier to me to think that Vesey could be playing in the cup finals right now |

JvR for Schenn I would... - dragonoffrost
They had liked Schenn as a player for a while and had previous talks regarding trading for him. I do believe that the injury to Pronger and the need for a RH defenseman was the final straw that made.them do that deal but I don't think it was done in a panic. |

I always felt like we didn't have the personnel to support Lavy's game. When he came to us it was instant love. I still love the game he teaches but, without the proper cast, it's too much to handle.... and you already have a much bigger problem if you don't have the personnel to support his game.
Like you alluded to, he's a coach for a team that's already well put together. He can build a sports car if you have all the parts. He's not going to be able to build something with an awesome engine and a bunch of spare parts from eBay.
Love him, was never upset with him, and wish him well in the Finals. It'll be bittersweet if he wins with Nashville and Caroline but not us. |

It was the right move to fire him. With that being said you have to love him as a coach and hope that he does well. So many good things about him as a coach. Tell Ott to go F himself. Classic. |

Damn, that's right. I like the Preds, just really dislike Neal and his propensity to throw high elbows. I enjoy the sighting of Harry Z. With the charity work PK does, want to see him raise the Cup. |

Can't really get behind Mason being as good as Rinne. Rinne's currently got a .941 save percentage and 1.70 GAA. If those numbers hold in that area and Nashville wins the cup he should be the Conn Smythe winner. - pinkfloydfreak
Yeah, I love ya Bill... and I understand your points, but Rinne is better than Mason. |

I don't like that their 1C is out till next season. That's not a good situation for facing the Pens. |

I agree it's going to be tough. Right now, if Rinnie continues at this level, I like their chances though. I don't know Foster s status, he would help, certainly not make up for the loss. That blue line provides a lot of offense in a variety of ways |

I despise Neal, but he's about the only one on Nashville that I really can't stand. Ottawa has a few I despise, Anaheim has four who I absolutely loathe , and Pittsburgh... well... they're the Pittsburgh Penguins.
So yeah.. Go Nashville.
and I LOL in Vesey's direction. |

Not to mention Fiala, too. I'm pretty high on him.
What's Fisher's status?
Edit: That dude must pinch himself every morning when he wakes up next to Carrie Underwood...except for the 2/3 of the year that one or the other is on the road. But damn she is gorgeous. |

I was at Game 1. Saw Game 2 on TV. I'm not saying that he has proven anything in the playoffs, just that I don't think a 1-0 loss and then 1 bad goal in a team-wide defensive meltdown is "overwhelmed." - jmatchett383
would you like to review the remainder of his playoff body of work?
less than stellar to say the least. far less than 7.5 mills worth... |

Like I said, he hasn't proven anything. I'm not contending that. I have never refuted that.
I simply stated that allowing 1 goal in his first-ever game and one bad goal in his second game didn't seem like he was "overwhelmed" to me at that point in time. If he is, then most every goalie in NHL history has been "overwhelmed" at some point. |

2 eyes, skin, has the ability to put on skates. Possibly has ears and teeth.
I mean, he's not as highly touted as mid-round projected prospect Fletcher Grimmunglik, but we can't all be as good as he or his Furnace Creek Eskmios teammate, Halfdan Blackinson. |

I couldn't agree more and obviously his crappy handling by Laviolette in his first NHL playoff exposure has ruined him for all his subsequent playoff games.
