Kapanen is young, cheap and exempt form expansion draft. He's nhl ready. If he can get a legit young nhl dman (maybe minny or Anaheim) then sure go for it. If not he's in the lineup full time this year.

this is obviously the case... I just can't wait for the Canuck and other fan base geniuses to begin telling us how "JvR isn't worth anything", "you'll never get anything for Kapanen" or the "Leafs good prospects are all in the NHL already" over the next two weeks.
