I think so too but I also think it will be by design. A lot of trades to amass future picks/prospects. If I were building an expansion team, especially in LV were a lot of the fans are out of towners/ corporate partners, I'd try to be competitive in 3 years and in the mean while score as many goals as possible in a strategy of pure barn burner hockey. First team to 6 goals wins! That is why Weal would be on my list from the Flyers.

I think they pick a lot of players that are valuable to other teams and trade them for picks. Like if Vegas selects bobby Ryan and retains half his salary what could they get for him? Likely a prospect with decent upside and a high pick.

If they deal MAF to the flyers they likely get a decent return.

So at the end of tomorrow they will have a bunch of scrubs with a lot of decent prospects and a ton of draft picks.

Its a discussion in my view. What is a sufficient level of excitement? What I posted was that it did not seem as though the poster was excited about drafting Nico or Nolan and then listed reasons. He also posted both were similar to Marner whom he is always raving about. I simply pointed out the obvious inconsistency there.
